Using eBay To Find Killer eBook Writing Topics
Well now THIS is interesting...
Here's how I found a way to discover "hidden", super profitable
ebook writing topics or infoproduct topics with built-in demand.
I was speaking to a good friend of mine who operates
many businesses online and he just happened to mention
that he gets many of his ideas from eBay.
Even more intriguing, he told me that he could tell
how much of a given product was selling on eBay.
Now, I don't know about you, but I've been trying to
figure out how to tap into eBay sales information for
months now - but there just doesn't seem to be any
way....
Until, this know-it-all let me know the simple, yet
highly effective method he uses...

First, it is worth noting that you can get a summary of
the hottest categories selling on eBay. While this is
somewhat useful in locating trends and broad areas of
interest, there is a more useful way to use the auction
center to test your own ideas.
Start by searching eBay for your keyword term + ebook.
For example, if you are trying to test "dog training",
then you would enter "dog training ebook" in your
search.
In most cases you will find at least one example, and in
many cases you will find lots of different ebooks listed.
The next step is to select a few examples that match
closely to your idea or topic area. Bring the auction up,
and now for the trick...
eBay provides great detail into auctions by member,
including a complete detailed list of auctions and outcome
by member.
So, what you want to do is simply scan the members holding
active auctions - selecting the option "search all auctions
by this member" and viola, you will get a picture of
activity from this member.
Using this information you can judge if there are two sales
of their product each day or 20. The idea is not to get
an actual, accurate count, but rather a sense of how many
copies are moving through their auction.
You may be shocked by some of the results you see. Any
existing ebook, report, course, training, audio or video
that has activity daily - especially with multiple copies
sold daily, will help to validate your market and topic
area.

To locate products that sell online, you need to understand
what people already want to buy.
The single biggest cause of failure when writing non-fiction
books, booklets, ebooks or any other information-based product
is a poor choice of idea or product.
It's no doubt this is the main issue for anyone wanting to become

road that may lead you to THINK you have a high-demand idea.
For example, you are NOT part of a given niche market, yet

See what I'm getting at?
These are the terms people use online when they are specifically
searching for information on a topic - as opposed to some other
aspect about it.
For example, when you perform a search on "How To", you will
find among the top results:
"How To Knit"
"How To Tie and Tie"
"How To Draw"
"How To Cook A Turkey"
"How To Play Poker"
Bet you wouldn't have thought THESE are the topics people are
already hungry for information now would you?
Want to test your idea?
Record the numbers you get from either Overture or Wordtracker
on top 10 results from searches recommended above.
Then, search for "How To [Insert Your Topic" and note the
comparable number of searches. Are you anywhere close to the
top 10, top 50, etc...?
You can get a pretty good idea of not just how MANY people want
your information product, but also how your idea relates to
many others that may sell better.
Believe me, it's easier to work on topics that people already
want - don't waste your time and effort on low demand topics.

Sales Statistics On eBooks - Do eBooks Sell?
At least once each week I get a question about finding ebook sales projections
or market numbers AND how someone writing ebooks can tell if there is a hot
market for their ebook?
And the first point - yes, ebooks really do sell, and they non-writers
in a wide variety of subjects are writing ebooks that bring them a
monthly recurring income, all for a few week's work.

The challenge - even if you could find "official"
numbers is that there are many, many ebooks that are sold directly from
individual's or company's websites - not

The fact is that ebook writing and publishing has opened the entire,

3. Great marketing campaigns must be based on a theme, there must be
an underlying purpose and motive behind every aspect of the campaign.
Great launches play out a story - your market gets caught up in that
