It's Much More Than The Product Launch
Well its happening again, another massive internet marketing campaign has begun, offering the tens of thousands of internet marketing hopefulls a system for making the big bucks.
This time it's Jeff Walker with the Product Launch Formula.
No doubt, Jeff knows his stuff, he's a master at putting the principles of persuasion into practice online leading up to a product launch.
For those who have a product they want to launch, great stuff, but for the 99% of people online who do not yet have a high-demand product to offer their market, DO NOT be distracted by yet another massive marketing launch.
You want to use marketing as an offensive weapon in your business, not be a victim of other people's marketing.
I'll say it again, if you have a high demand product on the cusp of release, then by all means, pick up a copy of his product.
If you are still struggling to get your online marketing legs, need to find your comfort zone in terms of market, still picking a topic or researching your market - then ignore it for now, you have more important things to focus on.
You see, without a great product on a focused market, a product launch means nothing - so on to more important things...

Can't Miss, High Demand Infoproduct Idea...
It's Friday, I'm feeling generous today - so PLEASE, someone run with my idea and go out and earn a ton of cash, OK?
Seriously, so many people struggle to understand how to find a market, how to locate demand, what topic they should select for their next information product, well folks, here's a perfect example of using a discussion forum to uncover a topic LOADED with potential.
A recent high volume discussion topic on the great Warrior Forum started with one person experiencing the rath of a spammer who has spoofed (simple word meaning someone who is pretending to be you) their email address and domain, and is sending tons of spam. What happens, well with any spam mailout, you get tons of bounce-backs - email addresses that no longer exist, are full or who block spam successfully.
When this attack occurs, the owner of the domain gets all the bounce-backs (often 10-20 emails per minute), even though it is someone else who is sending the original spam message.
How do I know all of this - its happening to me right now!
Some SOB spammer has spoofed one of my domains and is chugging out Rolex and Viagra messages at such a voume, I am seeing bounce-backs that fill my inbox every few minutes.
I know you feel my pain, but that's not the reason I'm writing this.
Instead, it turns out from the Warrior Forum thread that MANY other people are experiencing the same problem. Hmmm....
Also, as it turns out, there are a number of things you can (and SHOULD) do immediately after experiencing this problem.
Putting together a 10-15 page special report on this topic would be a surefire seller.
There are many effective ways to deal with the problem.
A product that just begs to be developed.
Hopefully one of you will take this and run with it. If I wasn't in the middle of a gazillion other projects and about to launch a new membership site, I would take this on myself.
A little hint, the trickiest part of this exercise is giving your product a title that clearly and simply identifies this particular spam problem.
Believe me, people will come looking, as long as they can find your product, you WILL make sales.

Information Publisher - Designing A Strategy
Strategy can sometimes be seen as a bad word to fast-moving, stealthy entrepreneurs, but is often what separates the top 5% of businesses in any given market.
Same goes for your information publishing business.
It is quite possible for anyone with some information to be shared toward a market with some decent timing to generate some promising success with a first course, workshop, ebook or audio program.
As we cover in the Ultimate Information Entrepreneur's Success Package, once you understand the steps to discovering hot markets, uncovering hidden opportunities and practicing rapid product development techniques, releasing your first successful product is NOT the real obstacle - following it up with a well thought out program taking advantage of your early success is the real challenge.
Momentum and timing are critical factors to any businesses success. There is nothing more powerful in your business than the single point in time when you have the highest attention of your market.
In the weeks and months following your successful product launch, you have a golden opportunity to begin immediately introducing your market to your next steps, branding your business 1-year out rather than just marketing your single product.
Unfortunately, 99% of information product publishers are focused entirely on their first (or next) product. They have given very little thought to what's next.
Here are 5 factors to help you strategically grow your information publising business:
- think multiple products/services
- create project plan for product deliveries
- define low price products to generate leads
- define mid-price product as stepping stone
- create high-end, back-end products
Looking at this list, by far the most challenging task for information publishers is creating high-end products.
It is true, there is more work to putting together a $1,000 product than a $27 ebook, however it is not to the degree that most believe.
Trick is to work smart.
Turning the content of an ebook into several teleconferences that are recorded, an interactive coaching session, a 1-day seminar, a series of interviews are all ways that you can turn out a high value back-end product in a matter of weeks.
Stop thinking about strategy as a bad word, something that slows you down.
Instead, well thought out strategy is really the sliver bullet that separates information product publishers on a 5-year wealth plan from those that are putting all of their hopes in one low-price product.
I'll definitely be touching more on this in coming weeks, stay tuned for more!

Tell Me If I'm Wrong Here...
Marlon Sanders has gone crazy!!
Ok, anyone who has heard Marlon speak or knows of him already knows he's certainly a leader and NOT a follower.
Another thing you should know about Marlon, his knowledge is well beyond most, and because of that, his products are high-end - ok I'll even come right out and say it - a little pricey.
Even though they are always worth 10X the money, for most people, it may turn them away.
Just when you think you have him pegged, he comes out with an amazing offer to uncover his traffic stats, how he gets millions of hits to his website - and the REAL TRUTH about generating traffic AND making sales.
Take a look at this..."Unlocking The Secrets of Getting 1 in Every 102 English Speaking Net Users To His Site"
The information in this book is so current, so real, and so valuable, there is no other way to explain it - Marlon really has finally gone all the way crazy...

3 Hot Topic Examples For Infoproduct Topics
Anyone still struggling to know if they've found a great idea for an information product?
Are you still searching? Not quite sure where to look next?
Would it help to see a couple of examples? I know that talking to other information entrepreneurs, it certainly helped me to see some real examples of topics that are RED HOT.
We spoke about some techniques and examples in a recent issue of the Information Entrepreneur Success Tips Newsletter - if your not getting your copy, then head over and signup now.
Here's 3 Top Selling Non-Fiction Topics Selling Extremely Well This Last Week!
1. "Spychips : How Major Corporations and Government Plan to Track Your Every Move with RFID." Ranked 81 in sales rank on Amazon this last week
You may not know what RFID is yet, but you will soon. It stands for Radio Frequency Identification - but all you really need to know is that it is the latest technology allowing small identifiers to be planted just about anywhere and track information such as movement. You'll see everything from RFID integrated in cell phones popping up ads as you walk by certain products on promotion within a supermarket, to tracking devices linked to security systems.
Point is, this is one of the hottest technology trends this year, a perfect topic for additional reports, ebooks, videos or other information products - if you were so inclined.
2. Not So Desperate Housewives. Topping out the Amazon listings are couple of books aimed squarely at housewives and stay at home moms. In Happy Housewives, you get 10 steps for housewives to break out of being mom's and be women again. Desperate Housewives is sweeping the nation - don't ignore the impact pop culture has on buying habits. Do you have some tips to become hot mama's??
3. How About Some Cooking. Cookbooks have always been big sellers, both physical books and ebooks have sold well. Two trends are merging right now, if you are interested in putting together the latest cookbook. The two trends are: 1) Recipes in under 30-minuts and 2) Vegetarian. Society is once again hearing many bad things about meat (mad cow, parasites, bacteria, cholesterol, etc...) pushing us back into a trend toward vegetarianism. The timing would be perfect for an information product that covers basics of non-meat diets, and shares some quick - but exciting vegetarian recipes.
We've only covered 3 markets, each have many ideas with even more product possibilities.
If you are still sitting on the fence about developing your own information product - get a copy of "Ultimate Information Entrepreneur's Success Package", settle on your topic and get busy setting your automatic infoproduct money machine into motion.

Your Competitor Has Ordered Your Infoproduct...
A recent post on a popular marketing forum reminded me of a question I've been asked a few times by subscribers and coaching clients - in fact, the first time it happened to me, I wondered the exact same thing...
What happens when I see that my competitor has ordered my information product - won't they steal my format, ideas and business away from me?
Bottom line is - there's not much you can do about it.
But, even if there was, you probably don't want to, and here's why.
From first hand experience, you never know exactly why a competitor purchases your product, it may turn out quite positive for you.
In my case, one of my competitors purchased my product early on - not only did I fear he would steal some of my ideas, but that he would use his knowledge of what was in my product to discredit me in the industry, after all, he was a rather big name.
Turns out I was dead wrong.
Less than a week later, I noticed he signed up for my affiliate program and within hours, a sudden burst of traffic came my way. For whatever reason, he had decided to move onto other projects and wanted an alternative to his products - for that I paid him his affiliate commissions, a perfect deal.
Since then, I've had more than a few potential or actual competitors order my products, and each time either something good has happened, or nothing at all.
So take it from me, if you suddenly see your competitors name in your inbox having ordered your information product, don't panic, its far more likely you will benefit than lose.
