You Can Change Lives Online...
Great news for anyone who is offering paid content such as information products, ebooks, reports, manuals or other how-to products online.
Its official, an increasing number of people (to the tune of nearly
50% of online users) look to the internet to help them make major, life affecting decisions.
As reported on Yahoo today, research found that "...the Internet is becoming increasingly important to users in their everyday lives"
The article goes on to mention major decisions of purchasing a house, car or overcoming a health crisis. These are definitely opportunity areas for information product developers and marketers.
However, think of the many other items people consider life-impacting that you could also rely on more online research...
1. Decisions on travel and leisure
2. A major hobby purchase (high end guitar, golf clubs, boat, etc...)
3. Parenting decisions - none of us get enough training in that area
4. Staying young - ANYTHING to do with looking, feeling and acting younger
5. Seeking friendships and relationships. Our lives go through many ups and downs, in the valley's we seek out help on improving our friendship and relationships
6. Making major career or self-employment decisions. There are many opportunities here.
Each one of these areas carries with it hundreds of information product ideas from ebooks, reports, seminars, audio products to paid newsletters and membership site possibilities.
The good news is that people are increasingly looking to the internet to help with solving their major life wants and needs. Positioning your information product marketing business to take advantage of this upward trend may just be the smartest, most rewarding business decision you will ever make.

On Your Mark, Get Set, Oink...
Is it set to take the world by storm?
Will you be placing bets, spending your Friday nights down at the track?
Could there be enough interest that you could turn this odd form of racing into your own ebook, membership site or information product?
In all seriousness, today there are a tremendous number of searches
for certain types of animal racing.
Did you know that there are more searches for horse racing (according to Overture's monthly stats) than for any other type racing information - even NASCAR!
Consider a 6-10 page beginner's guide to horse racing - or maybe in a few months, pig racing - as your next information product topic.
Tap into the right demand and you have a hungry group of buyers at your disposal - only caveat...you need to get to them before they lose it all on the next big race.

Finding Desparate Buyers For Your Infoproducts
Successful information product publishers and marketers succeed based on one successful principle - they go after desparate buyers.
Desparate buyers:
1. Buy quickly - it doesn't take months to close them
2. They will pay higher prices
3. They want answers to their problems in a simple, easily
developed product - not 300 pages when 6 will do.
4. They will come back again and again if you are good at
giving them what they want
5. They typically are in groups - so once you find one desparate
buyer, you have found many
Alexis Dawes knows how to find Desparate Buyers. She's done it many times before - selling a 6-page report for $27, a 16-page report for $97 and earning $4,000 in one week with her information products.
You can see her site over at Desparate Buyers Only - and below, you will find an interview excerpt with her as she explains some of her most guarded secrets to building your own information product empire.

Google Marketing - 7 Principles of Success
By anyone's analysis, the rise of Google has been truly astounding.
From search engine to advertising revenue and now a major threat to network and application providers in many different markets, google has obviously figured out a formula that works.
So, when I cam across this posting of Google's 7 principles of Google marketing, seems at least moderately valuable to study each principle.
See: 7 Principles of Google Marketing
1. Results must be trackable: definitely true, if you aren't tracking, you lose any ability to improve or understand where to put your time and finanical priorities
2. Promote Trial: Again, a sound principle, especially in the case of a service, high-end product or continuity product (recurring payments are involved).
3. Let others speak for you: This is a big one. We've had some great discussions and articles posted over at: http://www.infomarketerszone.com that discuss the power of word-of-mouth marketing and how to build that into your online marketing campaigns.
4. Data, Not Hype. Without understanding the original intent of this one inside Google, its tough to speculate exactly what they are referring to, but one would have to assume that letting the product, service and results speak for themselves is a far more powerful marketing strategy than hype.
5. Your Smart and Your Time Matters: This one speaks for itself, we've talked allot about having empathy for your customers - Google has made empathy a main principle of marketing - smart!!
6. We're Serious, Except When We're Not. Talk to anyone senior and successful in business, they will tell you a sense of humor is a MUST to reach the top and reach your customers.
7. Big Ideas Move Us. Well, certainly no argument here - google has been as good as any company in history in cultivating and finding great ideas, clearing the way of obstacles and quickly getting new ideas to market to test.
Finding BIG Ideas is what the "Ultimate Information Entrepreneur's Success Package" is all about - finding big opportunities that you can turn into BIG, profitable information products fast.
