short, written descriptions that accompany videos that you share with video directories such as YouTube, Viddler, etc…

For content to be effective, you must start with high ROI (Return On Investment) keywords for your offering – over at InfoMarketer'sZone we share our very exclusive system we use to go from thousands of potential keywords down to the 20-30 highest response keywords in a very short period of time for any given market, product and website.

Armed with 20-30 top producing keywords for your product, generating content means more traffic and more money in your pocket.

Speedy Article Writing

Many people complain it takes them 1-hour or more to write a single article, blog posting or content piece — it doesn't have to be that way.

Here are 5 tips for making article writing faster and simpler:

1. Start with a question. Our mind thinks so much more clearly when we are answering a question. Think about the hundreds of questions our mind answers every day, no wonder it is so used to thinking in this way. With a focus for your article in answering a question, you can often cut your article writing or blog post writing time down to 10-15 minutes. Use questions that come directly from your market (discussion forums, other article titles or blog posts, books, surveys, etc… ) to make your content especially effective.

2. Speak your article or content. If you find writing challenging, then simply take a few minutes to record your answer to the question that guides your content and then have it transcribed into text – you can do that yourself after or have a transcription service do it for a few buck. Often you can speak your article in under 5-minutes.

3. Tips Articles. A great format that is simple and quick to write for articles is the "tips" format. For example, 5 Tips For Losing 10lbs In 30-Days or 10 Tips To Be A Better Parent. Typically these are quick to write since there isn't tremendous detail given on each tip.

4. Refer to Other Content. I have a class of articles, blog posts or content where I refer to recent research, a recent finding, experience or other event where the article is mainly recounting existing information, albeit in your words and with your take on the content. This is done very quickly since writing "about" something is quicker than coming up with your content from nothing.

5. Write first, edit later. Too many people write a few lines and then edit what they wrote, completely breaking their thought pattern. When you start writing, keep it up until you are finished. You can go back and edit later, but what you want to do is get your thoughts out as quickly as possible without judgement.

Finally, one last bonus tip – the more you write content, the easier it will get.

You may also find, as I do, that certain days content comes to you easily while other days it is more challenging. I often will keep going if I feel things are really flowing that day…sometimes finishing an entire week's worth of content generation in a single sitting instead of fighting through a day where things just aren't going as well.

So we're supposed to be in the era of content generation – where your best shot at getting mass traffic to your site is to generate valuable and useful relevant content targeted at your niche market.

But once you go about trying to put together an action plan toward building out your content strategy, some immediate questions come to mind like "What sort of content should I be generating?" and "Where do I submit my content for best results?"

We share weekly secrets and results of our various advertising and traffic generation tips inside InfoMarketersZone to keep our members up to date on the latest and greatest techniques…but here are some very important tips that may be quite different from what you are hearing in the wider internet marketing community.

ARTICLES:

Yes, articles still are an excellent source of "food" for both the search engines and your niche market to get important information, find your site, assess YOU as a source of information and drive traffic to your lead generation systems.

But…you'll often hear people who have dozens of articles created that target specific keywords, throw this junk (that's really what articles written around keyword optimization are) up on their sites and wonder why they only get a trickle of traffic and nobody actually clicks through and buys their product.

Honestly — I often wonder if any of these people really put themselves (for one second) in the mindset of their customers who are urgently looking for answers to questions online, type in keywords and then arrive at this crappy, useless article. For me, I get angry! Do YOU buy from people you are ANGRY with?

No!

A much better approach is to research leading questions in the minds of your readers, write thoughtful answers to their questions (a few paragraphs will sometimes do…longer isn't always better), post the article to your OWN information portal and then focus on relevant linking strategies back into that article to get it quickly indexed by the search engines.

In my experience, having written well over 1,000 articles in the last few years you will get minimal advantage (perhaps even some disadvantage) from automatically spewing your articles out to a bunch of article directories.

A better approach is…

1. Build your own article portal so you get search engine credit for having the articles on your site.
2. Submit an article or two a week to Ezinearticles – you can then link back to other related articles, your sales site or your article directory in the signature
3. Write an excerpt about the article on a blog you run in separate directory linking back to the article – this will get you inbound links to the articles so they get indexed much faster (as any regularly updated blog gets daily visits from Google as well as all major blog directories if they are in your ping list)
4. Form relationships with other blog publishers and authority site owners in your marketplace where you will write an article a week or even one a month where you trade off exposure…

VIDEOS

We are living in the time of massive video adoption – the result of which means both opportunity and challenge. The opportunity is that people are now willing and have the means to search for video and play that video given the highspeed bandwidth supply to most homes.

The challenge is that there is a massive glut of video hitting the net and that means you need to really stand out by:

1. Making sure your videos are spot on in terms of targeting in-demand topics

2. That you keep your videos as brief as possible. Most questions can be answered in less than 5-minutes, so don't ramble – get to the point, offer your value and mention your site driving traffic back to an opt-in.

3. Consider getting someone else to do your videos for you if you have a rough command of the English language or have trouble communicating via videos

Google Video/YouTube are still the major portals for video – you must be present on these systems to get full exposure, but lately I've also had very good success with Myspace and Facebook in terms of drawing interest from both within these massive social networks as well as being picked up by search engines. For now, I would focus in on these 4 places to upload your video.

Keep in mind, when you produce a short informational video you want to answer a question, create interest, lead people back to an opt-in site where they can get more free information – you can do this within the video itself AND via the description you post alongside your videos. Just as important as the video itself is your PROFILE that you setup on each of these video aggregators – you will find that hundreds of visitors will click through to see your profile and may access your site via links you post in your profile. So – spend time getting your profile setup in an exciting and interesting way with links back to your major sites.

Content works to get more traffic…just maybe not the way you are hearing people speak about it in the internet marketing forums.

I wanted to write this right after I got off a coaching call with a subscriber of mine, but I thought I better wait until morning to better organize my thoughts.

By now we've all heard about the importance of list building in growing momentum (and your profits) in your internet marketing business – right?

But…I bet there are still many of you reading this that have launched a website, started long-tail marketing, run a campaign to try and make a few bucks by promoting an affiliate program or other small steps to start your own online business that ARE NOT yet collecting or incenting your prospects to build a list.

More than 80% of the blogs I look at have not opt-in – and you know what?

That's NUTS!!

Since blogs quickly become one of the most significant sources for attracting traffic today – in fact, it's one of the very first steps we teach for traffic generation in the 45-Day Information Product Profit Course – that you are missing out on a massive opportunity to build a red-hot, responsive and profit-producing list with online marketing.

Do this for me, if you are NOT building a list today, scroll down to the bottom of this message and raise a Comment letting us know what the challenge you are having is — we'll do our best to post a helpful response so we can get everyone building and growing their list.

Deal?

A common mistake, although understandable, are those of us who rush to promote the latest affiliate program, but do not put an intermediate step into the campaign to have prospects register with US first, then send them to your affiliates page.

How?

Let's say you are promoting a travel-related affiliate program (remember, this could be in any niche), and you want to promote a special travel package to Europe. Instead of simply writing an article that pushes people directly to a re-direct toward the affiliate site, write the article and tell people that you will update them on the LATEST, greatest information on travel to Europe. You will share personal experiences or experiences of others who have gone to Europe. You will find "insider" deals for them – so sign up to this "Insider's Club" – it's free and you have nothing to lose.

Within a few weeks you could have thousands signup to your list and from there – how many exposures to different products could you get?

Unlimited right?

Assuming you put out good material, those people will still be with you a year from now and best of all…still BUYING from YOU.

It doesn't matter if it is your very first website, blog or internet marketing campaign – make sure you signup with a simple autoresponder like Aweber, create a list campaign, pre-load it with a few messages, download a form and get it on your site. The entire process may take 30-minutes, but the reward is a list that can continue to generate profit for months and years to come.

Remember – if you have a specific question or story to share on list building, comment on this blog post and we'll get everyone on the same page when it comes to building their lists.

When you write an article to pull traffic back to your website, sales page or marketing campaign are you getting 45% response rates?

YOU should be…

Writing articles, blog postings and content for your website are CRITICAL to Week's 2-3 of our newly released Information Product Profits Formula available to InfoMarketer'sZone members. As part of an overall system of creating a reputation, online brand, product development plan, product launch and eventually strategic marketing plan – you will need to become good at writing compelling articles and content to make BIG money online.

I recently wrote an article for one of my niche markets that contained a resource box (the little bio or sales pitch that follows an article in magazines, online article directories or when someone else publishes your article) that drew more than 100 eager readers back to my website within 24-hours resulting in a 5%+ conversion of visitors to sales AND an amazing 45% opt-in rate.

Why then do most articles get lost in massive web content world never generating more than a few visitors and zero sales?

What is different about this article that results in such a massive response?

TOPIC

First, the topic was compelling – in this case the topic was on a method for burning fat that collects in a very specific place on middle-age men. There is massive demand surrounding the topic. I've used this same technique for many different sub-topics in other niche markets as well. They key is to find an emotional, highly sought after question that people really want answered.

GREAT TITLE

The titles was 4 words – it promised a unqiue method for burning this stupborn type of fat. Keeping your title short, emotional and triggered as closely as possible on the achievement aspect of the desire will get you more results.

HOOK

Structure your article so that it accomplishes the following goals:

Give them a sense for WHAT your system with a sample step or two

Include a hook that implies there is much more you can do to help solve the reader's challenge

By ending on a note of "here's one valuable tip, but there's many more that can dramatically improve the chance of reaching their goals" helps to prepare your reader for the resource box.

KILLER RESOURCE BOX

The biggest mistake article marketers are making is a bland, dull, over-hyped or completely oblivious resource box.

Think about it, you spend 30-minute to 1-hour writing a top-notch article and then stick a resource box in that took you 5-minutes to dream up. Remember, the entire goal of writing articles is to draw traffic back to your site. Your resource box will play the MAJOR role in getting people back to your site.

Here are 4 killer article resource writing tips that will help improve your article marketing response rate:

1. Send Them Through the Funnel – You will get a much better response by guiding your reader to additional, high-value information than to a sales page. Often, your best option is to direct your reader to a NameSqueeze page which "pre-sells" a giveaway report, audio recording or other valuable item in exchange for their contact information. Once you have their opt-in information you can continue to build a relationship, provide more value and offer different products and services to them over time.

2. Stay highly consistent with your article purpose and wording. If you are writing your article about weight loss through meditation, then make your giveaway related to weight loss using relaxation and meditation. If you, all of a sudden jump to another technique (ex. Excercise report) then you have alienated your readers who are intrigued about mediation methods of losing weight and risk losing substantial response

3. Keep it short. You want your resource box to be 2-3 sentences in general terms. You want a short, benefit statement and call to action for the bonus, report or giveaway you have reserved for your readers.

4. Stay away from over-hyped words. A great way to avoid hype in any sales material is to focus on results and details instead of flowery adjectives. So, instead of saying "Get the Best, Most Awesome report on weight loss…" try using "Get 3 Techniques For Losing Weight In 7-Days Without Changing Your Diet". Replacing hype with facts will be far more powerful in terms of response.

Here is an example of a attention-getting, benefit-oriented signature that offers valuable free information along with a strong call to action.

"Want to get rid of belly fat for good? Get this FREE system that shows
you 1 exercise that will remove stubborn belly fat for GOOD! Get your
copy now…[URL]"

Put these principles into work when you write your next article for an offline publication, online article directory, your blog or your websites and watch your response soar.
