Sorry if I am repeating myself to some of you who follow my blog, newsletter and other communications – but stick with me, there is a point to my rambling.
I had built a very successful, high, six-figure corporate career when I began exploring my own online marketing business back in late 1999.
I'm sure many of you can relate, my dream was to write a book, get it published and go on to fame, fortune, beachfront property, never having to work another day in my life –
OK, so things haven't quite turned out that way, but then again what the heck would any 32-year old have done with all that spare time?

But how did it all start?
I'll never forget reading about the late Corey Rudl's story of turning his car dealership experience into a top selling ebook "Car Secrets Revealed"
What really stuck in my head – these 3 things:
1. A non-writer with an average background turned his knowledge into an online business powerhouse leading to a Million dollar online business
2. The first iteration of car secrets revealed was small – only about 40-pages if I recall correctly. It hit me that the topic was as important (sometimes MORE important) than the size of the book or even the content.
3. This guy built an online empire all by himself – without the traditional publishing companies AND he got to keep 90% of the profits instead of the measly 5% authors of traditional books get to keep.
It was a match made in heaven – I knew I wanted to leverage my time and effort by writing a product, Corey proved to me it could be done, now all I had to do was tap into his genius.
