Hi all, I know we're all heading into the holiday season so I'll keep things short.
Here's a 5-minute video that demonstrates a few of the ways to tap into huge demand when you're searching for your first (or next) high profit information product.

I absolutely love to hear stories of how successful writers, authors and information publishers have entered this wonderful field and turned their passions into a high-growth, high-profit and highly satisfying business for themselves.
It's especially cool to know where they came from and what motivated them to write in the first place.
Very few, in fact I can't think of one sitting here right now, immediately pursued their goal of writing books, e-books, reports or putting together courses in their own business right off the bat.
Instead, they chose to…

Since we all, secretly have a dream to write a book, live the calm, relaxing life of an author (ya right!), reap the benefit of millions of book sales and make the odd appearance of Oprah or Larry King – the question often comes to us in a different way.
Instead of "Should I write a book" the question tends to be "Should I write a book or an eBook?"
Guess what's behind that question?
Price, of course.
Many of you who are considering putting your own knowledge, research, thoughts or experiences into writing are certainly smart enough to see that the average book at your local bookstore goes for $27, maybe $37 while there are eBooks out there raking in $67 or $97 on similar topics.
What's up with that?
The tendency may be to think there is something inherently different about delivering information as electrons than on trees – while there is, it's not the real reason for the big difference in price. And…if you're going to write a book or an ebook, you need to know WHY?
HOW YOUR INFORMATION GETS TO MARKET
The minute you decide to go the traditional publishing route with a mainstream publisher you must comply with their system of pricing which is typically based on a combination of genre, cover choice (hard or soft) and number of pages.
There's no choice, if you want to write a book and have them publish it, you WILL follow their pricing structure.
Not only must you follow their pricing guidelines, unless you are Stephen King, you will be offered a very small royalty payment on each copy sold AND must remove any unsold copies that get sent to retailers that do not sell from your future payments.
Yikes – so why would I go the traditional publishing route if I write a book?
There are some advantages. You DO get whatever added credibility and exposure having your book published by the BIG BOYS gives you – marketed properly this can be quite valuable, but it does still take YOU to market the fact that you now have a published book.
With eBook, sure you can price it at whatever suits your business model, but you will have to build your credibility, profile and reputation in other ways since you don't have the same aura of a published author.
But…on the other hand, if you understand the model of information publishing – how it works and how to get the most value out of information and knowledge you can really make some life-changing money.
The model is powerful – we outline the complete, detailed program over at InfoMarketer'sZone, but here are the two most important factors to keep in mind:
1. Find the highly emotionally charged, most important questions/challenges/topics for your market AND
2. Know how to package that information for maximum return
The terrific and empowering part of becoming an information publishing entrepreneur is that there are so many ways to make really big money…
For example, you could generate big up-front cash by taking your information and packaging it into a seminar, manual, workbook or coaching program instead of an eBook and bring in 10X the value you would get from writing an eBook.
Or, you can write lead-generation products such as e-Books, manuals, reports and e-courses that sell for lower up-front money, but qualify your customers into those who are the best target for one or more back-end products such as a seminar, coaching program or membership site.
NOW – THE TRUTH
The fact is, it's NOT an either/or proposition. Anyone who truly understands the massive potential selling information for profit knows that finding demand and creating unique content is the important part – whether you choose to publish parts of your content or self-publish it as an eBook, report, course, etc… is a marketing decision structured around a sound information marketing business plan.
You may begin by developing a coaching program, seminar, workshop, tele-seminar program and then decide that publishing a book on your topic is a top priority to drive traffic, leads and customers into your back-end business model.
A good example is Trump's latest book written with the Learning Annex where the entire purpose of that book is to funnel leads into Learning Annex seminars which – if you've been to one – I assume them then market additional, higher-still, information opportunities. It's not the book in itself that makes the fortune, it is a catalyst to big, back-end profits.
Alternatively, you could focus on publishing one or more eBooks and building a list, a presence online that you nurture and turn into multiple front-end and back-end infoproducts over time.
I hope that now you don't seem your next project as just writing a book or an e-Book, but that you see it as a strategic phase in an overall information publishing business that can make you millions – it just takes thinking a little bigger AND following a proven plan such as the one we have outlined based on our personal experience over at InfoMarketer'sZone.

I've been seeing a number of folks posting in forums over the last few weeks that are advising others to sell other people's products – not entering into the dangerous, risky world of creating your own information products…

I get asked dozens of questions each week, but two consistent questions that eclipse all others are:
1. What is your life like as an information product publisher and marketer?
2. Can I reasonably expect to replace my current career with a information publishing career in the next 2-3 months?
These are great questions because they touch on two of the most POWERFUL concepts that make information publishing the most incredible opportunity for starting and building your own highly profitable online business and taking advantage of the most powerful business concept of all – leverage.
First, let me tell you a little about life as an information product publisher and marketer.
Each day I wake up with the knowledge that I can pick from the dozens of topics that I really enjoy reading about, am already involved in or would love to know more about and within 6-weeks – produce a hot selling information product on that market that will make me a living online.
In the 6-week Information Product Profits Course we share the system that we've used again and again to product hot selling information products in multiple niche markets.
I can tell you that the peace, happiness and ENERGY that comes with knowing you control your income source – forever – is something that cannot be put into words.
I'm sure you can relate, when you depend on other people, companies to provide for you, there is always a level of uncertainty within you – a GUT level feeling that it could all end tomorrow — and THEN what do you do?
Especially if you are working in an area where you are not passionate enough to become a top expert — you live under the uncertain feeling that you may be found out and one day, it all may be over.
So, with information product publishing, once you learn the techniques for discovering opportunities, researching and packaging information for profit you suddenly become very aware that you OWN the ability to control your time, energy, area of work, people you work with and income — now that's an AMAZING feeling.
On the question of whether you can expect to replace your current income, job or earn a full-time income in 2-3 months my answer is – IT DEPENDS.
To be honest, most people probably aren't cut out to take the sort of MUST do attitude that facilitates action and will get you where you want to be sooner. For some people, it may take 6-months, others may do it in 3. But really, it doesn't matter if it takes you 6-weeks or 6-months – the bottom line is that you commit to taking control of your life and your income and it WILL happen for you.
On our part, we've tried to make helping you achieve this profound change in your life simpler and faster by outlining our systems, techniques and strategies inside of InfoMarketer'sZone. For a fraction of the cost of other infoproduct publishing and marketing programs we give you the system, tools and private mentoring you need to succeed.
So – I hope that answers the questions clearly, or at least as clearly as the written word can convey. I hope to meet you all someday — in person — as we build our information product publishing empires. No doubt, we'll meet in the future.

You pick up the latest #1 business best-seller at your local bookstore, open the front cover, flip to the second or third page and WHAM...it's there.
You're being urged to singup for a "Special Offer", access to a "Private Site" or get a "Special Rate" on an upcoming seminar or event.
Guess what…you've just become part of a highly effective sales funnel.
You've no doubt heard of the sales funnel, where you generate leads in your niche market by offering low or no-cost products pulling them through higher and higher priced products.
With information products it may mean…

Whenever I talk with people about writing an ebook in 6-weeks or less – as outlined in the 6-week Information Product Profits Course at InfoMarketer'sZone) – I get an equal number of dis-believers and those that are curious to see just how it is possible.
Not only have I done it several times, but I've known many other who have also produced successful information products (ebooks, reports, audio and video products) in less than 6-weeks – while still working at their main job, business and not alienating their families.
Here's a great case study just posted over at Problogger about a blogger named Leo Babauta who operates a successful blog about being organized, maximizing productivity and generally speaking, getting things done.
Here are some great takeaways from this very informative interview that will help you with your infoproduct publishing business:
I make my living writing, at times freelance, but 90% of the time writing my own products such as ebooks, books, courses, seminars, manuals and so on.
In addition to writing, I communicate information to very specific audiences in other ways such as audio interviews, audio podcasts, screen capture videos and live videos – all with the intent of targeting very specific challenges and opportunities within niche markets.
These are all non-fiction, informational products, often known as "How To" or Information Products to writers and online entrepreneurs respectively.
It's true, I enjoy writing but the fact remains I enjoy solving problems, researching and helping people in my niche markets even more so writing, for me, must be something I can do fast, painlessly in a way that communicates very clearly and effectively with my readers.
So far, judging by customers and subscribers – things have gone quite well so I would like to share with you some tips I've come to learn on how to make writing faster, less painful and more effective.
Writing Tip #1: Take Control Of Your Writing. When do you write best? In most cases, it is when you like or have experience with your topic. See if this makes sense to you…if you generalize across many markets you may get more work, but you will be less productive and less happy writing for many of the markets. Ideally, you take full control of your writing by launching your own information product publishing career with systems like the one we outline over at InfoMarketer'sZone. As a freelancer, the trick is to specialize in a small number of niche markets where you enjoy what you are writing about and can leverage that knowledge across many projects.
Writing Tip #2: Write Without Editing. Too many people try and edit and write at the same time, for most of us that will not work. A better approach is to write in a free-flowing manner and take care of editing at the end. That way, you are allowing your brain to get into gear and stay in gear each time you sit down to write.
Writing Tip #3: Learn How To Outline. Are you writing without an outline? Unless you are the rarest of writing talents who can spin out a complete book without nary a single word of outline, you will benefit tremendously from outlining first. My preference is to research my market first pulling the outline from the market itself in the form of questions. With non-fiction, informational products you are providing answers to questions, systems to follow, tips to apply or an overall formula to try – so understanding the burning questions your readers want answered is the greatest step toward structuring your writing.
Writing Tip #4: Write Like You Speak. This one is easier to grasp for non-writers than for trained writers. Trained writers are taught to think in terms of sentence, paragraph, page and book formulas with various rules of English and grammar influencing the creative act of writing. Having a grasp of the English language insofar as it helps you communicate is necessary, but don't underestimate the power of writing as you speak. If you are searching for a next thought, sentence structure or way of expressing a thought – just talk it out and translate what you say directly into writing. Remember, you can edit later.
Writing Tip #5: Be 100% Sure About Your Approach. Fuzzy thinking, lack of commitment to your topic or angle on a particular written piece will doom you to low productivity. Any level of uncertainty will weigh on you mind causing interference with the normal channels of creativity. I've trained myself to know the feelings I get when I'm not 100% behind my approach to a particular written project. When in doubt, I head back into the market to further reinforce or re-position my project so that I am able to remove any uncertainty over its direction.
Writing may be fun for you or it may be one of the most challenging chores eclipsed only by having to watch another episode of "Dancing With the Stars" – but the rewards can be amazing, especially if you take control of your writing and build yourself an online information publishing empire.
No matter what your perspective on writing, you will be able to improve the speed, quality and effectiveness of your writing with these 5 tips.
Don't forget – you can turn your writing into hot selling information products to sell online, a terrific way to lower your reliance on contracted writing work. Visit the Infomarketer'sZone for more details.

I can't think of 5 words that have the potential to change your life more dramatically, by writing your own book you can change the course of your professional and personal life forever. Unfortunately, most of us will never have the courage to answer "yes" to this question leaving this earth without ever experiencing the satisfaction, independence and wealth of publishing your own information products.
People are hungry for knowledge, eager to learn that is for sure. But what really makes people hungry for books, ebooks, reports, membership sites, and courses is information that will allow them to achieve their goals painlessly.
In other words, the population has an immense desire for information to increase pleasure while reducing pain.
Increasing pleasure may mean…

I have to admit, the years I worked for companies producing millions of dollars of training material, courses, workshops and services programs didn't give me a true perspective on how much potential "how to" information products actually have for their publishers and marketers.
I should have realized when a software company I worked for earned more from their first year of training than they had in each of the previous 3 years of selling their software – there was something special about producing information products.
Again, I should have known when I helped a friend put together a training course on financial planning that allowed him to quit his hated job and live better than he ever had before – but it took a little longer.
In fact, it was the first year into my own information product business – when my own 'how to" information package was already selling like wildfire that I finally got it!
Round about that time I found myself swamped with interview requests, emails from subscribers and customers wanting me to expand on the information in the package, take them to the next step, help them with their specific situation – I was forced to quickly put together a consulting package where I first charged $60/hour, then $97/hour, then $150/hour – still the demand came.
I remember looking at it back then as a burden – not fully realizing there was huge demand for additional, higher-end business models here. That demand eventually translated into additional "how to" infoproduct bundles, seminars and a membership site as well as coaching club and consulting fees.
About 2-years ago – it finally hit me! All of this back-end demand was triggered by launching a successful "how to' ebook – and there you have the catalyst to any business venture online you can imagine.
I recently documented the formula I use (and teach over at InfoMarketer'sZone) to help people put their own automated income streams into place by quickly putting together their own high-demand "how to" book and infoproducts…
