How do you know if you are ready to GO For It?

You live a reasonable comfortable life, some things are going well, other things suck…the days are flying by, one year is folding into another…is it time?

If you have been thinking about starting or taking the next step in your business, you’ll GET what I just said above.

Is it time to give up some security to GO For It?

Have you still got time?

Are you really ready to start AGAIN…does the dream burn bright enough to make that change in your life to starting your own business?

Have you GOT what it takes?

I deal with people as part of InfoMarketer’sZone every day that silently play this conversation over and over in their head.

Sometimes they come right out and ask…what DOES it really take and am I READY?

Here’s a few points that may help you if you are in that spot:

1. ARE YOU AN ENTREPRENEUR? Not everyone is at that place in their life (and they may never be) where they have the drive, ambition, or “bug” to take control and do their own thing.  Since I was very young I just KNEW I wanted to control my own destiny and leverage my empathy and intuition for helping fill voids in the market.  Some people I know have NEVER had these same feelings…you probably aren’t even reading this if you are one who has not had those ambitions.  I truly do believe that not everyone needs to run the show, they are fine with delivering a solid day’s work and have priorities in other areas of their life…GREAT!

2. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? For those that do have the Entrepreneur “DNA” – many don’t have the inner confidence to go for it…that total self-confidence in their intuition, that swagger that nobody knows this better than me…you gotta have that.  Inside Attracting Greatness, there is a briliant overview and plan for moving beyond being stuck in life toward living your true potential (no matter what area of your life you want to excel at) — a big part of that is getting to a place where you can have 110% confidence in yourself – that sort of certainty paints the way to success every time.

3. SMALL OR BIG? Then, learning to move from single entrepreneur to business mogul.  A subset of entrepreneurs have the desire to build something REALLY big (Zuckerberg, Gates, Jobs…) .  To do thism, you move beyond inspiring and leading your market directly to inspiring and leading a team that, in turn, inspires and leads your market collectively.  Here, an entrepreneur moves from being the center of attention to learning to inspire teams to create great things…steering other geniuses in a direction where 1+1=10 (Like Jobs was able to do as he plucked developers, thinkers, designers out of different environments and inspired them to greatness.

Where do you fall?  Are you debating if you fall into category 1 or are you firmly in category 2 wondering if you your business is bigger than just you?
