How do you reach the next level in your career or life?

Or even better, how do you leapfrog past the next level and reach a level that you previously had thought was not even possible?

Is it simply a matter of working harder?  Do you need to work smarter?  Or is it a combination of both.

For most people, we have been taught that to achieve greater results we have to work harder…this is a fundamental principle driven in to us early in life.  Other cultures, this principle is even more engrained, to the point where it even drives people absolutely crazy, some to the point of ending their lives (unfortunately).

But is working harder really the right answer?

If you have worked at something (trying to lose weight, build a business, get a promotion, be a kind and compassionate partner or parent) in the past but aren’t seeing the results…is working twice as hard at it going to delivery better results?

I think you can see where this is headed, if you are not progressing toward your desired goals, then chances are working harder is not going to get you there either.

On the other hand, if you are progressing, but just not fast enough, then yes – working harder is important.

Let’s say you are a masterful house painter, but what you really want to do is build houses…will working harder at painting help you to achieve your goal of building houses?

So many people come to me telling me that they are Blowing Their Brains out working to build their own online business, write a book or create products to sell online but are getting nowhere fast.

Truth be told, there are very good reasons they are not succeeding…they could be:

  • Not understanding their target market
  • Not knowing what their market wants (emotional and buying triggers)
  • Failing to understand the keys to creating or finding products they want
  • Not knowing how to reach their target audience in a way that gets them maximum return on investment
  • Being blinded to other opportunities and mechanisms of leverage that can really take them to the next level in their business
  • Failing to connect with their market through persuasive sales funnels, advertising or content

So what’s the answer…should you work harder or smarter?

Most people that are not seeing results in life today are going about it the wrong way, that means you have to get smarter before your hard work will pay off.

When I talk about “smarter” by the way I don’t mean intellectual achievement or intelligence, what I do mean is having the practical knowledge of the specific steps, practices and techniques required to get results toward your desired goals.

One of the single most important outcomes of us working with aspiring online entrepreneurs who want to market knowledge an information online through InfoMarketer’sZone was the incredible impact that knowing the formula has on both motivation and results.  By combining enthusiasm and desire with proven steps and formulas you create an unstoppable force that gets results.
