With over 100,000 visitors last month and a steady stream of list subscribers and sales in 3 different niche markets, you may be curious as to the internet marketing technique that has led to all of this activity.

I know what it's like to try and operate an information marketing business part-time, to struggle wtih marketing strategies that are ineffective, that waste your time and leave your wallet empty.

So, let's change that - OK?

The foundation of successful online business is content…that's how you pull in big traffic, how you get listed on the search engines, build confidence in your visitor so they buy from you - it is the key to all internet marketing.

In fact, we focus very early on traffic generation using content in our internet marketing strategy program for some of the leading online information marketers on the web today.

Plain and simple, you need to be producing content consistently to grow your internet business.

We wrote a blog posting a while back that talked about taking your business seriously - being professional rather than an amateur (if you missed it, you can read it here…

http://www.highertrustmarketing.com/blog/online-business/are-you-a-pro-or-an-amateur/

Developing content properly is a top internet promotion technique, but only if you follow the rule of consistency.

Writing a bunch of articles for a week followed by nothing for two weeks with another article 4-weeks later is not going to cut it - instead, you need to be working a content creation plan.

Does that sound strange - a "content creation plan?"

For most of us getting started in web marketing, our content creation plan is dependent on what we feel like when we wake up in the morning right? Or, we let our schedule dictate when we are available to develop new content…

We've Got To Change The Way We Develop Content

The reward is that Google will rank our content much higher, we'll receive double and triple the free traffic and we'll see our orders go way up.

Sporadic creation of content is not the best way to drive traffic to your site though - you lose momentum, miss out on steady streams of traffic and leave big money for your competitors to collect.

Even (and ESPECIALLY) if you have limited time to spend growing your online business each day, you can use your time more effectively and get 10X the results by following these principles of content creation…

1. Pay attention to the almighty keywords. Use Google Adwords keyword research tool to look up and find new principle keywords that people will use to locate your products, services and information.

But don't stop there…

Go beyond the principle keywords into "related keyword" listed under the main keywords returned when you use the Google Adwords keyword tool. Take each related keyword and look it up as a new "main" keyword and you have another list.

You will have a list of keywords into the thousands, even tens of thousands. As you develop your content, you now have the keywords to target in the title, a few times in the copy to make your content much more effective in drawing relevant traffic to your internet marketing business.

2. Start by writing articles - how-to articles are always popular so long as you are targeting questions that your marketplace tends to ask.

Then, re-purpose your articles by turning them into blog announcements or postings, audio podcasts, audio recordings, YouTube videos or even Stream TV show content - that way you get five or six times the impact for each piece of content you create.

3. Take one day each week and focus on creating a higher quality article that corresponds to blog postings and articles that are getting lots of inbound links…in other word, focus on producing one really good piece of "link bait" each week. The marketing strategy behind attracting inbound links and interest is syndication of your content syndicate your content allowing you to leverage the traffic at other hub sites within your niche market.

4. Turn an article into a press release and submit one or two a month to get added inbound links and traffic as part of your marketing plan.

5. When you get the hang of writing articles and can run them off in 10-15 minutes you'll want to consider packaging a few articles linked by a theme into special reports, a PDF that your users will find even more professional, higher value and that will produce additional linkbait as others within your marketplace link back to your report.

6. Oh, and yes, it's alright to outsource some of this. There is an army of very good writers and marketers hanging around places like guru.com and rentacoder.com just waiting to outbid one another on your projects.

Finally, and MOST important, use these smart content techniques consistently by making them part of your content plan. Set up a plan for article writing and syndication on a regular basis. If you can do it daily - great, if you can only do it twice each week, that is terrific too…you will still see some amazing results in your internet marketing business after taking consistent, regular action over time.

I know what it's like to try and operate an information marketing business part-time, to struggle wtih marketing strategies that are ineffective, that waste your time and leave your wallet empty.

Perhaps the most important book writing tips of all surround getting started writing your own book after spending a lifetime thinking, dreaming and wishing that you had your own book or information product.

To many of us, getting motivated to write our first book has to be one of the most frustrating, challenging experiences of our entire life, and it's no wonder when we consider how much pressure we are putting on ourselves to write a successful book.

We've coached hundreds of book writers and information product publishers over at InfoMarketer'sZone, the first place we start is to make sure we build and grow motivation over your project so that you not only get started, but get your writing project finished - much faster than most aspiring writers ever thought possible.

Think about the emotional attachment you have constructed in your mind aobut book writing?

For many, book writing is a romantic dream about an entirely new lifestyle where they escape the daily grind, get to work from home (or just about anywhere), can work when they want and not only earn massive wealth, but may even become famous.

Not MUCH pressure right?

That's the pressure we put on ourselves when writing our book - but what about our schooling?

We were taught from a very early age that writing means mastering the English language - and let's face it, that is a lifelong pursuit in itself.

We study cases where authors take years - even lifetimes - to write a book that sells, and even then, many died poor and tragic deaths.

It's no wonder such a small sample of us ever actually do end up writing books and information publishing.

Book Writing Tips - Jack Up The Motivation

Book Writing Tip 1 - Get started. Just as with anything in life, the longer we think and stew over something, the further away from getting started we get. To instantly halt the emotion, anxiety and doubt wrapped up with writing your own book, just get started writing - for many people, that is enough to turn them from habitual dreamers, into habitual writers.

Book Writing Tip 2 - I like to always think in terms of pain versus pleasure, if you have not yet reached the motivation level to get started with your writing, then the pain you associate with writing (or of failing with your writing) is greater than your pleasure to avoid the pain of NOT writing.

That has to change…find things in your life that can motivate you to BUILD the pain of not taking action now.

Look at your age, write down how many years you have been dreaming about writing your own book and see how ridiculous that really is. Put pressure on yourself to look realistically at your chances of writing a book if you continue your current mindset.

Build the pain of NOT writing and you will elevate your motivation for getting started.

Book Writing Tip 3 - Once you start, don't let your foot off the gas. Whatever the reason, you want to keep your momentum. Writing can be somewhat of a rollercoaster - you are up and then you are down, so keep writing through it all. It may seem like you are in a zone, but if you let up, even for a day or two, you could find yourself back in dreaming mode.

Use these book writing tips to finally push past your desire and dreams to write and actually begin living your dream. For many of our members over at InfoMarketer'sZone this is the most satisfying thing you can do in your personal professional life - so why not get started now.

That has to change...find things in your life that can motivate you to BUILD the pain of not taking action now.

I was inspired to respond to self-help guru Steve Pavlina on twitter yesterday about something he wrote, you can see both his post and my response over at my twitter profile (if you don't have your own twitter page yet, get one setup and start by following us here.

The post was about the difference between an amateur and pro, even though he didn't come out and say it, this was an explanation of why some people reach the top in business, finance, and life while others continue to dream but not achieve.

We all have passions, dreams and things we have great potential to make a difference - but only professionals choose to take their passions seriously while amateurs give less than a 110% effort.

That is evident in any field - dedication to realizing lofty goals takes serious dedication, prioritization of what is important in your life and sticking to your plan no matter what.

For instance, when I interact with our members over at InfoMarketer'sZone about building their six and seven-figure information publishing businesses, I can tell almost instantly if they take their business seriously.

Almost without fail, every member has dreams, passion and even desparation in their desire to live the life of an information publisher - and yes, it IS a terrific life, but…

Only those who take their passion and dreams seriously achieve their dreams.

What does it mean to be serious about information publishing and marketing online?

1. You commit to multiple techniques for developing a relationship with your market. Amateur information product marketers try and push products on a market, professionals develop a plan for providing value up-front in exchange for the chance to nurture a partnership with their marketplace that (if nurtured) continues to pay growing dividends year after year.

2. You give before you get - keep the faith. It's an odd thing with business, a sort of invisible karma if you will…to receive you must first give to your market. Here's why this always works. When you give value to your market, suddenly their defenses are lowered and you are given a rare opportunity to see what they really want and need allowing you to further deliver value - the more value you deliver the more wealth you will accumulate.

3. Professionals know that they can't do everything and that the more in tune with their passions they are, the more they organize their life around their passions, the less interference and distraction and the more productive they become. Amateurs let life happen to them, perhaps poking their head out of the hole once in a while to give a sudden burst of energy, only to be distracted by something else in their life - achievement doesn't happen that way.

For information product professionals, this means that you must choose what is truly important to you - if you want your own successful infoproduct on the market in 45-90-days then commit to a plan that will GUARANTEE that you achieve that goal. We offer the Ultimate Information Publishing Success Checklist at InfoMarketer'sZone, but it's up to YOU to plan your days and weeks around the checklist…you need to make it a priority just as any professional would.

4. Professionals make a committment to themselves which spreads to those around them that they have a firm plan, commit to consistent and guided action and are working tirelessly for the good of those they serve in the market. Certainty of plan and action attracts the same. Tell me if you have noticed this, I certainly have…amateurs seem to attract other amateurs and professionals attract other professionals. As an amateur, it's tough to understand why this happens - why you seem to be excluded from the "boy's club", but when you commit to a professional plan and course of action, it becomes clear that professionals make it their priority to only deal with those as committed and results-oriented as they are.

5. Professionals take responsiblity for where they are completely. If you have been dreaming about launching your own ebook, report, home study course or other information product for months or years, but haven't succeeded, then that is on you, nobody else. That may sound tough, but believe me, when I've looked myself in the mirror and stepped up to admitting it is MY responsibility for where I am, great things follow. Suddenly you are focused on solutions to problems, ways around obstacles instead of the obstacles themselves. You become a problem solver instead of a victim and with each challenge you overcome you make gigantic progress toward your goal.

Are you ready to step up and REALLY become a professional in critical areas of your life? Are you ready to turn your amateur interest in starting or growing your business into a professional committment that will take you miles ahead of where you are today?

Seriously, you MUST face this question, some decisions will be YES - I'm ready to commit professionally to achieve my passions, while other decisions will be the opposite. The very fact you are asking these questions and making these decisions will move you ahead in your life - after all, the journey is as fun as ultimate achievement isn't it?

What does it mean to be serious about information publishing and marketing online?
1. You commit to multiple techniques for developing a relationship with your market. Amateur information product marketers try and push products on a market, professionals develop a plan for providing value up-front in exchange for the chance to nurture a partnership with their marketplace that (if nurtured) continues to pay growing dividends year after year.
2. You give before you get - keep the faith. It's an odd thing with business, a sort of invisible karma if you will...to receive you must first give to your market.
We offer the Ultimate Information Publishing Success Checklist at InfoMarketer'sZone, but it's up to YOU to plan your days and weeks around the checklist...you need to make it a priority just as any professional would.
4. Professionals make a committment to themselves which spreads to those around them that they have a firm plan, commit to consistent and guided action and are working tirelessly for the good of those they serve in the market. Certainty of plan and action attracts the same. Tell me if you have noticed this, I certainly have...amateurs seem to attract other amateurs and professionals attract other professionals. As an amateur, it's tough to understand why this happens - why you seem to be excluded from the "boy's club", but when you commit to a professional plan and course of action, it becomes clear that professionals make it their priority to only deal with those as committed and results-oriented as they are.</itunes:summary>

Here's an interesting interview with the author giving some insight into how he made the leap from being a waiter to a top published author…it's a fun and interesting read.

Promotion through press releases and interviews. I'm noticing a major trend of late where a brief interview is released as a press release instead of the dry, ineffective drolling of most corporate-type press releases. If you have a project to promote, have someone ask you 4-5 questions about your topic and your book writing experience and you will find much more distribution success with your press releases.

When you set out to write a book, you have goals - either explicitly written down or inside of your head - for what you want to achieve. (...)

When you set out to write a book, you have goals - either explicitly written down or inside of your head - for what you want to achieve.

It may be that you want to write a book in 3-months, and so have daily or weekly writing goals based on this objective.

For others, you may simply have a daily goal of writing 2-pages figuring that will allow you to write a book in 4-6 months.

For our students within InfoMarketer'sZone, they often achieve timelines much more aggressive such as 1-2 months even though most of them have never written a book before and may have even shivered at the thought of writing anything longer than a love letter!

Achieving your goals when you write a book has more to do with sticking to a schedule, holding to your commitment to yourself and your writing goals than anything else.

If you have failed to meet your objectives for book writing - or any writing project for that matter - then you have either avoided setting daily objectives OR you have slipped and not kept those writing objectives.

Why is it so challenging to actually set and STICK to your writing goals?

One of the techniques we have learned and teach our students that really helps build your confidence and stick to your writing commitments is to outline your book in advance and then allow yourself to write freely each day avoiding editing AS you write, instead editing AFTER you write. It's natural for us to write a sentence and then read it over and edit AS we write, but that is pure torture for most of us and it's no wonder we get sick of writing after just a few days of putting ourselves through this sort of process.

Instead, set aside time for writing each day where you simply write what comes into your head - free flowing thoughts, ideas, experiences, and knowledge that you either already have or that has come from research.

If you know you can sit down and write freely instead of having to write perfectly, then you are much more likely to keep your commitment, you will actually look forward to writing daily and before you know it, your book, ebook or writing project will be ready to launch so you can begin to change lives and make a living from your infoproducts.

There are many other shortcuts too that can not only help you write faster, but help you target your writing to attract the MOST interest from your audience, capture the maximum profits and sell your products to a massive audience online - we offer these through our popular InfoMarketer'sZone site with a rapidly growing membership of highly successful online information publishers.

As book writers and information product publishers we become somewhat convinced that the only niche markets with huge potential are internet marketing, business, and health related topics - yet as we know from the hundreds of private members at InfoMarketer'sZone, that simply is NOT true.

Here's an interesting example of an author that has picked up on a very powerful desire most women and many men have in today's busy marketplace - having an neat, organized and happy home.

In "The Busy Mom's Guide To An Organized Home", Kathy Peel has tapped into a desparate crowd of stressed-out parents and "family manager's" offering them solid advice on how to maintain a semblance of order around the house whether parents of toddlers, youth or teens.

Here's a terrific interview with Kathy in the Washington Post that gives you insight into the type of questions and level of desparation her market has for this topic.

Something I noticed right away when reading the interview was how we discover that Kathy not only published her own top selling book on this topic, but that she also operates what is likely to be a very lucrative coaching program on the topic as well…

I read about your Family Manager Coaches. How can one help me? Are the things they suggest the same thing I can read in one of your books? Thank you!

Kathy Peel: Email contactus@familymanager.com. I will have a coach contact you. Family Manager Coaches help people apply the strategies in my books. <itunes:summary>As book writers and information product publishers we become somewhat convinced that the only niche markets with huge potential are internet marketing, business, and health related topics - yet as we know from the hundreds of private members at InfoMarketer'sZone, that simply is NOT true.
Something I noticed right away when reading the interview was how we discover that Kathy not only published her own top selling book on this topic, but that she also operates what is likely to be a very lucrative coaching program on the topic as well...

I read about your Family Manager Coaches. How can one help me? Are the things they suggest the same thing I can read in one of your books? Thank you!
Kathy Peel: Email contactus@familymanager.com. I will have a coach contact you. Family Manager Coaches help people apply the strategies in my books.
Why are some people able to sell their information for hundreds - or even thousands - of dollars while you are struggling to sell your information in a $27 ebook?

Oddly enough, when you get the price points higher with your infoproducts (assuming you are targeting a hungry desire for results), the job of marketing your product becomes much simpler - suddenly joint venture partners tend to be much more interested since their dollar intake from each sale is much more substantial than just settling for 50% of $27.

So - what makes a high-ticket infoproduct? Specifically, what is it about $397, $997 and more products that makes them worthy of that price piont?

Wondering which niche markets hold the most potential? (...)

Wondering which niche markets hold the most potential?

Wish you could see some actual examples of market niches and information products that you KNOW are selling well to help you understand the real potential of an online business?

When considering growing your own ebook business, information product marketing business or online business of any kind, it helps to understand the types of niches that are being turned into both self-published and traditionally published products.

Not only will this help give you a sense for how diverse some of these topics are, but it should help your own business grow as you see others who are profiting from their work plan and market themselves and their infoproducts.

This week's top 5 has some very interesting entrants:

1. Book - "The Fortune Cookie Chronicles: Adventures In The World Of Chinese Food" by Jennifer Lee. Her story has been published here

What's most interesting about Jennifer's book is the idea of mixing two niches (our interest in food, and the Chinese culture) to put a different spin on a very competitive market. With the Bejing Olympics a short time away, tapping into a powerful wave of interest in China is not a bad way to go either.

2. Rich Schefren's Cashmap - http://www.highertrustmarketing.com/part/cashmap/ puts a new spin on monthly paid newsletters delivering process maps and business strategy each month to subscribers.

No doubt about it, Rich Schefren is one of the fastest growing internet marketing tycoons in the last couple of years where he has taken Strategic Profits from a single product six-figure income business toward a seven-figure, multi-product juggernaut.

What can we learn most from Rich's latest offering? Other than getting a hold of these unbelievably useful process maps, his masterful way of turning information into a course, improving it and turning it into high-end information products is a powerful lesson we should all put into action.

3. A new book titled "Beating Gout: A Sufferer's Guide To Living Pain Free" by Victor Konshin is another in a long line of successful "experience based" books that take a personal experience with wide relevance and help people overcome pain or experience pleasure.

What other topics can you think of where you have overcome pain where you can share both your own experience or the latest research on the topic - how about "Beating Insomnia" or "Getting Rid Of Planter's Wort"

4. InfoMarketer'sZone - my own success story. This summer we have doubled the number of members joining us over at InfoMarketer'sZone - a good deal of that has come from consistently adding high-value content and applying what we learn and teach back to our members.

The main lessons for any information product creator are to remain consistent with updating your content and the simplest way to do that is to "live within" your market. I develop infoproducts online and coach others to do the same - therefore developing content on this topic is easy and highly valueable for my audience. If you develop a product about wine making - then commit to making wine and share your experiences with your audience. It's really THAT simple folks.

5. eBook "The Magic Of Making Up" is a brilliant ebook targeted at people who want to win back ex-girlfriends or ex-spouses in relationships.

The story of how this ebook came about is very interesting. The real author (he wrote this under a psuedo name , decided to write a book in the dating niche, so he first researched the market and even put up a website and started building a list (just like we teach over at InfoMarketerszone. What he found out in a matter of weeks is that there was huge demand for broken relationships to get back together. He quickly authored the book, put it up on Clickbank and already it is one of the top selling books in its category.

The lesson, if you have a niche market idea, put up a website, create a giveaway or market an affiliate product to get your feet wet and you WILL learn enough about the market to create a hot selling infoproduct.

Anyone want more examples?
