Everyone is sitting on their own Golden Egg – they just have no idea it's there!

That's right, your Golden Egg is the knowledge, experience or passion you have for a topic that when packaged, can give you a virtually unlimited, ongoing income stream from the internet.

Each day Billions and Billions of people search the internet to find answers to urgent questions, shortcuts to places they want to be (badly!), solutions to problems that are overwhelming them in their life right now, the fulfillment of life-long ambitions and desires…and get this…they are ready to give YOU their money.

Our InfoProductZone Members are overcome with amazement when they see that little nuggets of knowledge or experience they have (or researched quickly one day) can turn into 4, 5 and 6-figure monthly sales when they start their own online information publishing business.

INFORMATION PUBLISHING! FINDING YOUR GOLDEN EGG!

Look, it took me 25-years of working for other people, using my knowledge, experience and energy to help other business people earn big money while I barely was able to make ends meet — but then I started watching 3 things happen:

Self-publishing took on a life of its own…suddenly millionaires were made from those who packaged information into small reports, books, workbooks, courses and home study programs…the same information that may sell for $20 in a bookstore and make the author $2 or $3 could be packaged into reports and information packages sold for $40 or more with the creator keeping $30 or more – AND they could bring it to market immediately!

The online revolution hit. Suddenly information publishers had two massive advantages – first they could reach their audience for next to nothing in marketing costs on the internet and second, they could distribute their infoproducts in digital format at virtually no cost AND get it to their customer instantly!

Building a complete, turnkey online business became cheap and easy…instead of having to know html, you can have your site up on a Wordpress blog for nothing but the cost of hosting and anyone can do it…you can use Paypal, 2Checkout.com or other payment processors to take your customers money and deposit it directly into your bank account AND you can build an army of motivated partners who want to share your products all across the internet

WHAT'S YOUR GOLDEN EGG

Yes but what information do I have that others would want to buy?

Bet you have asked yourself that question – or you were about to!

Thing is, the members of InfoMarketer'sZone will also tell you there are an unlimited number of topics that you can turn into 6-figure and 7-figure online businesses with information publishing — hare are just a few that we have personally had a hand in…

Pet training and pet care…these markets are huge with lots of desire and emotion leading hot buying activity

Everyday health challenges…tips on helping to deal with hemhorroids, tinnitus, planter's warts, acne, asthma…you name it, these are all 6-figure potential topics

Personal development…overcoming stress, low confidence, fear or phobias, becoming a better speaker, networker or negotiator are all proven topics

Relationships…everything from specific dating advice to dealing with relationship break-ups or finding your perfect match…lots of potential still here

Inside Tips…if you have sold insurance, mortgages, cars, mechanic services, building trades, etc….people want to know the "inside scoop" and you can give it to them

Getting promotions…everyone wants to have control over their career, so if you have tips on how to get promoted or add value to your company, you will have a huge potential market out there

Making money…are you a financial advisor, investor, day-trader, wealth or estate manager, laywer, accountant, CFO — you have experience that others want badly, so give it to them and you will have yourself a brand new income stream

Sports…products for coaches, advanced training techniques, drills and practice plans, these are all great places to start turning your passion for sports into a lucrative income stream

These are just off the top of my head, there are many.many more and we see more happen each week inside InfoMarketer'sZone.

Top selling information publishing businesses produce Millions of dollars in sales each year for their writers/developers, none of these products are sold through bookstores with most being sold directly from the creator's own webpage.

Furthermore, you will find the topics of these information products varied across major markets that include health & wellness, personal development, business, relationships, hobbies each producing thousands of sub-niches with thousands of products within each of the sub-niches.

In general, these products sell for anywhere between $27 up to $10,000+ depending on the format (in this case the range would represent an ebook through group coaching formats as an example). For these products the creator keeps 75% + of that revenue in most cases whereas traditional book sales are skewed even further in the opposite direction.

So how can you be among the top infoproduct publishers on the market today?

1. Start With Your Strengths and Passions. Successful product creation and marketing requires dedication, self-discipline and consistent action – all made much more likely if you are passionate about your market and topic. There is not a market I have come across where you can't take your experience or passion and turn that into something valuable for other people to buy.

2. Become A Market Watcher/Listener/Detective. Learn to watch what, how and why people are buying information. Study top ebook, book and seminar directories to know what is HOT. Reverse engineer leading books to know what is the desire behind the purchases that have led to a top selling information product. Study magazines, their headlines and content – what desire are they tapping into? You will quickly figure out what dream, solution or answers people are spending money to get so you can tap into that money flow yourself with your own infoproducts

3. Information product publishing is a business. You can't just look at this as a way to have some fun writing or to "try" and make a few extra bucks or as a get-rich-quick business opportunity, instead information publishing is a matter of targeting specific markets with value-add products and services growing over time into your own infoproduct enterprise – so treat it as such

4. Learn the power of leverage. The sooner you can fully grasp the advantage of working once (creating your product) and then earning profit from that work forever…you will be so motivated to build your online information marketing business fast. with as 2-hours a day for 4-6 weeks you can have yourself an ebook or information product course that brings in a full-time income this year. Then, do it again, bring in other experts and help publish their work to your audience…and so on…you get the picture right?

Never before has the opportunity for packaging information as a business been so incredibly open and large. The very nature of how people buy information is in radical transformation – many people will not set foot in a bookstore this year but will buy more information online.

By acting now, you can put yourself at the front of this information buying frenzy, take advantage of leveraged income and be in a very different financial position just months from now. Head over to InfoMarketer'sZone for a Fast Start InfoProfits Course and you can make getting started even simpler as we work with you each step of the way.

We talk a great deal about packaging information for profit, publishing infoproducts and marketing information online as a way to create a new business because information marketing is relatively simple to get going, involves a powerful leveraged model where ou can spend a few weeks creating a product and then selling it for years.

But…there is a misunderstanding that many people have about what KIND of information they should be selling.

A large part of this misunderstanding comes from how we were taught writing in school perpetuated by the typical concept we have of a book as being a story.

With information products your primary focus is not on telling a story (although you can certainly weave a story through as a method of delivering your information) but more on teaching "how-to" achieve a desired outcome.

Now there are a few ways to obtain the information you want to share with your readers:

You can research your topic and provide a summary of the information

You can write an overview of your toipc for beginners

You can interview or consult/partner with an expert to help bring the information to market

You can DO something and then share your practical advice with your readers

All of these DO work, but by far the last two approaches give you the potential of moving from a basic $20-$40 book, ebook or course to a much more valuable $97+ information product business where your true value is giving advice based on real-world experience.

If I had one tip to share with anyone looking to create a business based on information marketing it would be to focus on a topic where you can DO something and then share the results with your audience in the form of advice.

For eaxmple, helping others master meditation would be powerful if you had actually tried different methods and could share directly with your readers what worked, what did not and why.

When you pick a topic for your own online information marketing business…consider being active in your market as part of the criteria for being successful.

There are so many emails and promotions floating around these days for systems or courses claiming to help you create products in 8-hours or less…and technically, they may be telling the truth, but for many of you looking to really get into information marketing, the information can be quite misleading.

So can you create a product in 8-hours or less?

The answer is yes, but…

This assumes you know your market and know exactly what they want already

That you have the content researched or from personal experience, ready to go

That you are either recording a teleseminar, audio recording or video webinar sharing your information

That you are NOT factoring in setting up your business on the internet, that you somehow magically have a sales letter written and that you already have a list or sales funnel setup

So, the answer is yes, there are certain people that could have their own product created within a day…but that is most likely NOT the case for you and certainly does not mean you are ready to begin selling that product after 8-hours.

It's NOT All Bad News Though…

The good news is that many of us have gone through complete product development cycles that take between 20-40 hours (with an hour a day, this means 3-6 weeks part-time, or only 1-2 weeks if you have more time to spend). This is really a drop in the bucket compared to the earning potential your information marketing business can bring you.

I have created products in 4-6 hours of work – basically a presentation for a paid webinar that is simultaneously recorded and viola, you have two products (a paid webinar and a packaged set of mp4's ready to launch as a video training product)

However, the work required for someone brand new to uncover the market, pull out the questions with the most desire (highest demand), build momentum toward your product (aka traffic), put togeher the content and then put everything in place to sell (sales letter, sales funnel) as well as payment links, and follow up systems – that's where the 20-40 hours comes in.

Here's a recent, simple 6-week information marketing roadmap that you can use to put your own information product plan together.

The good news is that once you have launched, the hours for promotion go down over time (as you get listed in the SERP's, recruit affiliates, gain a following, etc…), and you can enjoy the true power of an information marketing business – leveraged income.

If you have your own ebook, report, audio or video information product and it is not selling up to your expectations, or perhaps you are just now starting down the path of creating and marketing your own infoproducts, the good news is that there some things you can do to improve your sales.

Information marketing is NOT new. As far back as can be remembered the practice of dispensing information and expertise in exchange for either trade or commerce has occurred.

The packaging of knowledge into "how-to" books, and later e-books, has existed for hundreds of years. I recently discovered a "golf tips" book from the early 1900's that has since fallen into the public domain.

Around that same time period numerous top selling books dispensing knowledge and advice around self-improvement, professional and financial advice, coaching and many other topics can be found.

Certainly, the transition of creating digital information products and selling them directly to consumers or business has evolved dramatically over the last 10-years, and it is an absolute truth that we are still only on the leading edge of massive opportunity brought about by these changes in how information is packaged and sold to those who want it the most.

So yes, you are on the leading edge of an incredible opportunity to turn basic information that is urgently required into your own money machine online…read about our own experiences and techniques over at InfoMarketer'sZone.

It is also fair to say that this will not happen automatically, does require an understanding of…

What niche markets and products you should create

How those info products should be positioned for maximum appeal

Creation techniques that take days rather than weeks or months

Aligning massive market demand with your own positioning so that you see BIG results fast

Pumping Up Your InfoProduct Profits

Specifically, here are 3 techniques you can use to dramatically improve your infoproduct sales and profits:

1. Hit Your Audience's Hot Buttons. The desire for information is typically preceeded by a large desire to reduce pain or increase pleasure. People with painful hemorrhoids, tinnitus, shyness or fear of public speaking all share the same desire to overcome a very emoitonal pain in their life. On the other hand, those who seek out more self-confidence, a job promotion, a better golf swing are also motivated by the potential to experience pleasure. Always be looking for your audience's hot buttons, not only will this help you create in-demand infoproducts, but you will also be a much more effective marketer leading to huge sales.

2. Position outside of the crowd. We have helped information marketers enter extremely competitive markets by knowing the competitive trend and positioning at a higher value proposition than your competitors. For example, you may find 100 books or more covering your topic, but you may only find a few home study courses – there's your opening. Your competitive advantage can be format, how your proudct is structured, applicability of your product, how your product is bundled, as well as your unique value proposition.

3. Make Yourself In-valuable. The key to making yourself invaluable in your market is to know your market better than your competition. How do you get to know them? You listen, watch and test. Listen to people you know who have the desire you are targeting. Watch closely forums, blogs and comments on social networking platforms for comments made about your topic. Offer small group coaching to get direct feedback from your market. Hold teleseminars to test ideas and collect feedback. Test sample webpages for response prior to creating your own infoproduct.

In most cases, information products that are not making money do not have to be thrown away, simply re-targeted to address the main demand wave within a given market.

If you are just now starting your information marketing business, build these 3 techniques into your business creation and watch your sales grow faster and bigger than they would have otherwise.

What should you focus on when you are well into product development on your first or next information product (ebook, book, course, membership site, etc…?)

The options are pretty overwhelming aren't they? Do you work on marketing/generating traffic, creating a website, blogging, writing press releases, running teleseminars, launching an affiliate program, SEO, paid advertising…what should be your priorities next?

Having launched more than 12 information products and helped hundreds of others do the same through InfoMarketer'sZone, we now have a very established, highly effective system down for creating and then releasing information products to maximize profit.

Once you have decided on your infoproduct topic and are well underway with its development — you want to focus on 3 extremely important areas as your next steps:

1. Product Testing, Testimonials and Partners – Get your product into the hands of 10-15 potential JV partners (people with lists, websites, discussion forums…etc ) as well as a half-dozen to a dozen beta customers that can try your product and give you feedback…You want to a) Get some early feedback on your product b) Build some testimonials and c) build an initial launch partner list that can help you hit the market when it is ready to go

2. Create, Test and Improve Your Sales Page – your sales page is everything when it comes to converting visitors into buyers, you need to get a draft of that finished and begin testing some early traffic – you can use an early or partial release to do interim testing so it is ready to go when the entire package is ready

3. Work on your sales funnel. I bet you have gone to a website before where you read some content they have posted and then couldn't ignore a request to opt-in with your email address to see a video, get a report, receive the latest updates, access a private membership protected site, etc… Upon opting in to get this freebie, you now enter that marketer's sales funnel where, if done effectively, they have a 10X better chance of converting you to a buying customer than if you had just landed on their sales page cold. This time, YOU want to be the marketer and YOU want the added conversions that an effective sales funnel will provide…

Where are you with your information product? Still in the planning stages? Are you writing or recording it right now? Do you have a product on the market that is not performing well? Let us know by leaving a comment.

It's the #1 problem we all wrestle with when we set out to write our first (or next) info product – Will My Idea (Or Topic) Sell?

We know there are lots of flops out there – ebooks, books and training programs that never seem to hit the market, or when they do, their sales activity reminds you of a wet noodle.

Have you had a product like that – I know I have, more than one actually.

To double the frustration, some of my early flops came when I "over-developed" my info products.

What I mean by "over-developed" simply means that hitting an unknown market with a polished, deep product is neither necessary or smart.

When you approach a new market with an info product, you want to quickly get something out to the market to "test" the waters – with mutliple test cases out there you can then let the market decide which one they want to pay you more for and from there – focus on the businesses and info products that deliver the greatest profits.

When I say quick products I don't mean low quality, just less ambitious until you know your market will buy.

For example, instead of writing a 200-page ebook on weight loss to test your ability to capture sales within than market, put together a quick 30-page ebook that tests a very specific aspect of weight loss such as motivation, a small set of highly effective exercises, a specific diet guide, a focused guide on lowering stress to lower your weight, etc…

OK – so back to the question "Will My Product Sell"

After getting caught up spending weeks flailing around trying to answer this question as our business considered new info product options – we put together this foolproof, quick 3-step checklist for assessing new info product ideas and topics – give it a try:

a) Can you clearly identify a highly desired OUTCOME associated with the topic you picked? For instance, if the topic is pet training…what is the ultimate OUTCOME your market desires and why? They want a better behaved pet – correct? But why? Is it because they are embarassed by their badly behaved pet? Is it because they fear they will lose their pet if it cannot be kept under control? If you can identify a desired outcome and a big WHY behind the desire, then give your idea a checkmark.

b) Do you see other products (ebooks, reports, books, DVD's, membership sites, seminars…) that target the same desired outcome? Start by looking on Google, Clickbank, Amazon, and Commission Junction to see if there are products that target the same desired outcome you want to target – in our example, having a well behaved pet. Two other things you want to note…what are their price points (can you find high-end products as well as low-end?) and do they appear to be selling well (high Clickbank gravity, decent Amazon sales rank, relatively popular Alexa ranking for the sales site are a few ways to check popularity).

c) What ist he health of the distribution channel. One of the most important aspects of making big profit with your own info products is your ability to tap into existing authority sites in your niche market and have them put your product in front of their visitors with an ad, a recommendation, a review or other affiliate marketing techniques. Think about having dozens of high-traffic, trusted website owners in the pet training niche promoting, recommending and endorsing your products to their marketplace – what would that do for your sales and list-building campaigns? But…in order to make this happen you need to make sure you can identify a dozen or so potential partners in your niche that 1) Have a clear channel to promote products such as an ezine, forum, blog or website where they mention affiliate products and 2) They are currently endorsing other affiliate products which makes them much more likely to entertain other endorsement offers.

If your idea or topic passes these 3 test criteria…

1) Desire for outcom with big WHY
2) Proven Buying Activity
3) Healthy Distribution Channel

Then you should stop considering and sprint into action RIGHT AWAY.

There are thousands of markets that meet these criteria, each day you put off taking action means another day that you will delay your new lifestyle of earning more, enjoying more and having more.

Will you have other questions along the way?

Absolutely – we all do.

That's why we put together the #1 Private Community for Information Marketer's online – so you can get the most current tips, techniques, strategies, tools and advice on how to make the most from your information marketing and creation activities. One of the most popular aspects of the site is it's interactive coaching forums where you can get everything from first-hand advice on your topics, resources to use, marketing techniques, website and copy critiques, and "insider" tips that are directly taken from the most successful tests we perform on our various websites. Head over to InfoMarketer'sZone right here.

After 15-years of putting together ebooks, books, information reports, seminars and training programs and 7-years after putting together the first information product for my online business, you can be assured that there is no better use of your valuable time than packaging information people badly want into your own info products business.

There are a variety of ways to make money online, but only info product creation and information marketing has built-in leverage in 3 extremely important ways:

You work once and make money online for years…once you create your information products, they continue to sell with very little additional effort

You can leverage ownership in your product for quickly growing a massive army of distributors and partners. By giving away 40% of your profit (you still keep close to 60%), you can grow hundreds (even thousands) of well-placed authority figures in your marketplace selling a giant volume of your info products.

Having your own information product will instantly improve your popularity, publicity and earning potential by leveraging the branding impact of "expert" status bestowed on those with their own top selling info products.

More and more people are getting it – that you can be a complete beginner having no experience writing, with marketing online or even have any particular expertise in a certain topic – and still put together a top selling information product that dominates your niche market.

The Ultimate Information Entrepreneur's Success Package outlines a complete system that helps take any beginner or seasoned entrepreneur through a step-by-step process for turning your own business into an information machine with automated streams of primary of secondary income.

Here are the 3 market strategy steps involved with building your own information product marketing empire…

First Step – Market Research, Finding In-Demand Topics

It's the most critical step in your quest to build a 6 to 7-figure web marketing business based on information marketing, you must become good at uncovering passionate desire to be, do, see, go, experience or transform into something they are not today.

Here's a powerful information marketing tip – remember this and you will never have to worry about your financial security again…

"Your role as an info product marketing entrepreneur is to become a dream broker…that is, someone who packages information that will help your audience achieve their most desired outcomes in their lives."

Think about it…when someone signs up to a new training program (a public speaking course, a yoga class, a fitness program, guitar lessons…you name it) or when they enter the bookstore looking for a particular type of non-fiction book, what is the conversation that is going on inside of their head?

Isn't it…"I want to get a promotion so I need to improve my public speaking" or "I want to be beautiful, more attractive so I've signed up to a yoga or fitness class" or "I want to be a rock star and live the rock-star lifestyle, so I've signed up for guitar lessons".

It doesn't matter IF these desires are actually attainable…the important point from an info product marketing point of view is that they HAVE these desires, that they are STRONG and that they will spend BIG money on any system, training, process, formula or information that can help them achieve their goals.

We give you 40 different techniques to uncover "hidden" niche markets and topic opportunties within our Info Product Wealth Training Program for a reason — because IF you get this step right, the path to building your information products empire is well within reach.

Second Step – Branding Through Your Own 'System'

Make no doubt, if you do a good job with #1 – finding hot niche markets and uncovering the underlying desires of your audience – you will make money online.

However, a way to really turn your money-making web marketing business into a full-blown empire is to package information into your own 'system', 'formula', 'method' and so on…

We're talking now about how you utilize the principles of branding to turn information into constructs with a very high perceived value.

For instance, you may have discovered an underlying desire to improve one's attractiveness to the opposite sex through certain body language techniques – you could choose to write an ebook outlining your techniques and sell it for $27 OR you can put together a multi-media training system combining a series of lessons with some examples and sell that for $197 or you can create a monthly coaching program that will sell for $597, and so on…

How you package your information will ultimately dictate how wealthy you get with your information product publishing business.

Third Step – Build a Business, Not A Sweatshop

Once you have your niche market selected, a good understanding of your profit potential, the underlying desires and what motivates your market to buy AND you have structured your info products into training systems instead of general information outlines…you are ready to really blow the socks off this internet marketing opportunity.

Everyone has strengths – some skills and interests that make them better suited to performing specific functions in a business much more efficiently and effectively than others.

Some people are better suited to relationship building, networking and growing leverage within their business through tapping into the authority, trust and credibility of others…that's a valuable skill, but not everyone has it.

Others may be visionaries, they can see two or three steps ahead in their business, but ask them to actually get something specific done, and it will drag on forever.

Then there are detailed people who are extremely good at one task or another – perhaps product development – but struggle with the marketing aspect of their business.

To grow your information marketing business to the high 6-figure and into 7-figure territory, you must step back and know your own strengths – what are you good at? What can you do faster, better with imroved results over most others that you have seen?

Then, just as important, what are the things you struggle with, that you are not so great at, that takes you longer than most others and that you really have no interest in getting better at?

Trust me, once you GET YOURSELF OUT OF THE WAY of the tasks and roles in your business where you are NOT a strength, and focus on the areas where you ARE a strength, your business will boom.

So, the final step is one of marketing management – where you learn to set your business up for maximum success – having done that your information product business will grow massively into the future.
