Until you decide and target niche markets online, you will be spinning your wheels not earning a great deal of cash.

The challenge though is knowing the exact steps required to properly find, analyze, evaluate and select a winning niche market as well as a niche focus or niche topic that will attract traffic and profit your way.

Over the last 5-years we have expanded our initial online niche market targeting writers and infoproduct publishers into 4 additional niche markets, dominating each one with a variety of products and services that feed us continual profits.

Not one of the these niche markets failed to bring in substantial profits through our various sites…so how did we find niche markets that worked for our online business?

SYSTEM FOR FINDING NICHE MARKETS THAT PRODUCE PROFITS

After ucnovering and operating multiple online busineses in 4 niches (and counting) – our process looks like this:

1. We start with a topic related to an interest, experience or passion we have (my first two sites leveraged my own interests, next two were done with partners around their interests). Ideally you start with 6-8 potential niches (music, gaming, personal battle with weight loss, anxiety, stress, relationship challenges you have overcome, etc…)

2. You want to then narrow that list to one (to start with) by looking at a combination of search demand, competition and commercial potential

- Search demand simply means keyword research and making sure that you find enough keywords to provide several thousand (at least) searches each month
- Competition – here you look at sites ranked in the top 10 for your keywords, now this gets a little technical, but you want to look at age of domain, keyword targeting, size of site, etc…to see if you can break into the top listings
- Want to know your options for monetization, are others spending money on ads (if they are, chances are they are making money), what are they selling? What commissions can you earn or price can you set for your own product?

By far, this is the most important, most technical and tricky part of the process of finding and evaluating niche markets – we go through detailed training on the steps, tools and techniques you can use to master this step inside InfoMarketer'sZone.

3. Build a site (I prefer blogs) structuring them around content and monetization – generate your content, do some basic backlinking and watch your profits grow.

Steps 1 and 2 must be done correctly in order to pick a niche market and niche topic that is automatically appealing to your site visitors while step #3 demands daily, consistent action.

When combined, these 3 steps form that basis for 6 and 7-figure online business empires. Following this process means you are setting the best foundation for continual, unlimited, upward growth in profits over the coming months.

How do you go about finding niche markets for information products (ebooks, reports, seminars, courses and the like) that will bring in BIG profits?

As we share in the very first week of InfoProfit Video Training Course inside InfoMarketer'sZone, there is one VERY HUGE mistake that people make when they go hunting for a niche…

The mistake is misunderstanding what drives people to pay BIG money for information.

See, many people (tell me if you are one by leaving a comment) believe that people buy information to learn how to do something, to get tips, strategies or learn new things…but that's not really the case is it?

When you buy a book about video editing, you don't really want to learn how to edit video better, you just want BETTER VIDEOS!

When you attend a course on investing, you don't really want to know everything there is to know about investing, you want to know how to double or triple your money.

The Money Is In The Promise Of A Result

A good niche is nothing more than fulfilling the most pressing desire for a result shared by a group of people.

My point is that niches for information products are looking for an end result…not the METHOD, but the RESULT.

An example…

People who seek weight loss ebooks don't want to know how to exercise or even how to lose weight, they want to know how to lose their love handles, firm up their butt or eliminate those "chicken wing" arms.

If you can market your information as credibly helping them reach their desired result, you have successfully targeted your niche.

So try changing your thinking from what "broad niche market should I be in…" to "What highly desired result can I help a group of people achieve"

In the end, you will sell a TON more information products using this approach.

How do you know when you've tested an idea for a hot niche market enough?

If you throw 100 visitors at a landing page or sales page for a niche market you are testing, and you have no sales, does that mean you should give up on that niche?

What happens if you have 500 unique visitors to your sales page or landing page and you have sold 2 products, does that mean you should go ahead or give up?

This is the critical question isn't it – until you have found a niche that you are confident sells, it's tough to scale your business.

The Quick Start System within InfoMarketer'sZone has been designed to take you through the details of exactly how to make finding hot niches for info products within days – so you can build and scale your business to something big.

Here are the two most important steps to testing for niche markets -

Having tested dozens of different landing pages and sales pages I have found the following guidelines helpful:

1. 200-300 visitors is minimum required to test conversion of a page. This assumes that the traffic source is somewhat fixed – for example all PPC, all autoresponder, all blog generated, etc… If the sources of traffic are different. PPC sourced traffic is a little different – in that you should aim to have at least 100 uniques from each keyword you want to test rather than 200-300 total across all PPC. The goal is to find out keyword-landing page combinations that work best.

For example, our latest site launched in the personal development field started with about $200 invested in a pay-per-click campaig where the goal was to find the 10-12 keyword and ad combinations that generated sales.

Within 4 days we had roughly 14 sales generated primarily by 6 keywords. Immediately we began ramping up content development (blog postings, articles, press releases, etc…) around those keywords as they converted the best. Sales doubled within the next few days.

But, traffic is only one variable – consider this as well…

2. If you can, start with a product you know is selling in your niche – this takes one level of uncertainty out of mix.

The challenge when you start out is that you have 3 rather substantial variables you need to test all at once - the source of traffic (which keyword, traffic relevancy), the landing page (how well it converts for that particular keyword) and the sales page (how well it convinces the customer to purchase). It's no wonder that getting this right when you are starting from scratch is challenging – that's why it's better to start with a successful product, successful sales page – then figure out which traffic leads to highest conversions (most sales or signups), then substitute your own landing page, then your own product.

If you would like to have us walk you through how exactly you uncover niche markets to test, setup and operate niche test campaigns and then grow your info product marketing business, visit us over at InfoMarketer'sZone.

How much effort should you put into finding, testing and identifying potential HOT niche markets?

Here is the typical way of identifying niches…

1. Put in hours of keyword research…sometimes spending hundreds of dollars on keyword tools
2. Spend 3-4 hours trying to find products that ** may ** sell into that niche
3. Often you have to go back to step 1 because you can't find the right mix of niche demand and product
4. You develop a dozen articles, upload them to Ezinearticles, start a blog, write 10 posts and even put up a content site…2 weeks later, you don't seem to have any sales of your chosen product to show for your effort
5. What do you do? After a few hundred visitors, can you conclude that this niche is a dud? Could it be poor traffic? Could the product be terrible? Maybe the sales letter sucks? Perhaps the entire niche is just not that profitable?
6. You may start all over again, throw more time and money at the niche or…just GIVE UP altogether.

If this sounds like you, then…

STOP MAKING IDENTIFICATION AND TESTING OF NICHE MARKETS SO HARD!

I used to do it the hard way…actually here's what I used to do, and below you'll see what I do now

When I first started out, the only method I used to test niche markets was look for signs of demand using keyword research. At that time, tools like the Overture Keyword tool spit out some semblance of search volume for your keyword plus a dozen or two snyonym keywords related to your phrase.

While once in a while that technique worked, it was notoriously ineffective because it really didn't tell you whether these people would buy ANYTHING, let alone what you wanted to sell.

Next, I got smarter, and began to look for signs that the product or service I was thinking of selling was also being sold…because my business was based on info products, I checked Amazon, magazines.com, Clickbank, SRDS, AND I would check to see if there was a good supply of Adsense ads under that keyword at a relatively high cost-per-click that would indicate there is a profitable business behind the ads.

This approach is definitely better, we're starting to cross the bridge from just looking at search patterns into studying the supply side of the equation – if there are like-type products being sold, then chances are better that there is a real business opportunity around this niche.

But…I still had flops when I used this technique. There were still markets where there were lots of info products, but the results were not great when I launched mine…so what gives?

Before I go on…I must say that using these previous two techniques resulted in a mix of info products that produces a full-time income – so what we're talking about here is how to build a REALLY profitable, niche-based info product business rather than just any business.

Taking action based on any investigation in the market will get you results…that's why there is so lilttle downside to the info product marketing business model.

DRUMROLL PLEASE….

OK, so how did I improve things about a year ago?

How did I make niche marketing a very simple, very predictable, very fast exercise with a virtually no-miss outcome?

Simple, I created a system where I worked from the supply out.

What does that mean?

Most of us look for demand, then look for what we could offer to fulfill the demand, then seek to get the message right – and if all of that works, we see success.

The problem is that may work in 1 out of 7 tries. What if we wanted a process that worked 6 out of 7 times?

Then it hit me…why hadn't I thought of this before – duh….!

Try flipping the standard process on its head.

Instead of starting with demand, start with a winning product, subject it to a quick, rapidfire test where we see exactly what our results will be, focus on the winning candidates, reverse engineer the business and improve on the marketing.

Specifically….

1. Start by finding products you KNOW are selling
2. Quickly test your ability to generate a flood of traffic and see exactly what the conversion rate will be in just days (making some money along the way)
3. Know how to tell when you have a winner
4. Identify the CRITICAL keywords that bring in the BIG results
5. Put together a MORE profitable product offering (through developing your own product, interviews, PLR, public domain, etc…)
6. Reverse engineer the traffic, website and product that is already successful

and then….

7. Improve on it over time (improve traffic, improve sales page, improve product, etc…)

Believe me, this technique can build you 6-figure businesses in a matter of weeks.

This is just the latest system we have outlined over at InfoMarketer'sZone – called the "Quick Start InfoProduct Marketing System"

You see, there are many info products out there earning thousands of dollars each month for their developers – and even with that they are flawed.

Find a $27 ebook selling hundreds of copies a month on Clickbank, but you can double the price and still sell just as many copies. Or, you can better target traffic to your site and double your sales, Or, you can improve the sales letter by just 1% conversion and dramatically improve your sales. Or, in many cases, you can do all 3 and end up with an info product business that doubles, triples (or more) what was already a winning business.

The key is to start with somethig that you know is already working – then improve on it rather than spending your time trying to figure out what works just a little.

The entire system is outlined inside of InfoMarketer'sZone in detail with video training, process guides, tools and a private mentor support forum – if you are ready to take your niche business and info marketing to the next level – we'll see you inside.

Well, the #1 challenge anyone has when they first get serious about their internet business is how to track down a niche market that is…

Dripping wet with profit

On fire with demand

Will last like taxes

And is something you feel you can tackle

There are all kinds of excuses as to why you haven't yet found the right niche market…

I just can't understand how to guage demand

It's TOO competitive, TOO late, TOO hard or TOO busy for me to make any profits

I'm not an expert, there's much smart people than me already out there

There's no money in that niche, it's too small to be interesting

I'm sure there are many others, but to get my point across – for anything we want to do there are any number of excuses we can create as to why we won't be successful, and guess what…we WON'T BE.

HOW MANY NICHE MARKETS ARE THERE?

Right off the bat, let's dispel the myth that there are only a few niche markets to target…in fact there are hundreds of broad niches markets, within wich there are thousands more sub-niches within which…there are tens of thousands of specific niche opportunities or angles we can take to squeeze our way into these highly lucrative niche markets.

There are hundreds we have come across in guiding our members within our Information Marketing Resource Site and the techniques for uncovering hundreds more are outlined in The Ultimate Information Entrepreneur's Success Package…but here's more proof.

Ezine articles, one of the top article directories online, announced on its blog recently that they now have content (that's information that folks are actively seeking out – can you say CHA-CHING!) in 568 niche markets – see there blog posting here.

In fact, if you drill into any one of these niche markets further, you will find dozens of other niche market opportunties. For example, a recently added niche market is "Budgeting" – which can further be segmented into "Personal Budgeting", "Small Business Budgeting" "Budgeting For Seniors and Retirees", "Budgeting Software", and so on…

In fact, you have tens of thousands of potential topics where demand is high – people are actively seeking an outcome and look at information as the key way they can BE, DO, HAVE or ACHIEVE something special in their lives.

In actual fact, the only issues you should have when considering niche markets for your own info product business are:

How to uncover the demand triggers that really fuel people's spending on information

How to hit the subconscious "triggers" that stimulate people to buy NOW

How you plan to monetize a given niche – advertising, your own info product, affiliate marketing, etc…

What your role will be in this exciting and very lucrative business

These are the exact challenges we help you work through inside InfoMarketer'sZone – at least you know now that there is at MINIMUM one exciting topic just waiting for you to turn into a 6 or 7-figure online business…taking action is all that's required.
