Most people who wish to be entrepreneurs fall  into the category of a “Success Dreamer” while very few end up to be “Success Achievers” – the obvious difference being between wishing for great things to happen versus making them happen.

As any of us know, life can become a cold, frustrating and lonely place when we spend all of our time wishing we had have done something different versus actually working toward what it is we want.

So how do we transition from success wishers to success achievers?

1. Suspend Disbelief…many of us have this incredible, romantic, ideal life in our head, and that’s great, because without having the dream we won’t succeed.

But there comes a time when we must put that dream aside and just get going, even though we may not entirely know where it will take us.

The challenge is that we end up so desparately NEEDING  the vision of success we have developed in our brain that we create such pressure on ourselves it is nearly too risky to get started!

What if you fail?  What if success isn’t like you envisioned it?  What if something goes wrong?

By putting every dream and desire we have into this “Success Dream” we have trained our minds to fear action toward our dream as failure is just too much to face.

So, yes – dream away and develop a set of goals backed by solid reasons why you want what you want, create urgency, excitement and enthusiasm, and then…

Take a step back and get started WITHOUT knowing what the path will be like (ever heard of Suspending Dis-belief?) having faith that you will ultimately end up where you want to be.

Those who achieve incredible profit and fulfillment  in business or other aspects of their lives can find it within themselves to practice blind faith that taking action, moving in a forward direction is a powerful way to succeed in itself.

2.  Embrace Setbacks As The Fast-Path To Success.  It’s not that success dreamers haven’t taken action toward their goals, with most people you can find evidence that at one time or another they did try and set out on the journey to achieve their goals…but what happened when they faced setbacks?

By giving in to setbacks you actually REINFORCE the success dreaming mentality placing an even higher risk on future action.

The highest achievers approach the journey toward achieving business success differently…they entice setbacks!

That’s right, success achievers understand that forward motion, by its very design, creates resistance and that by resistance showing itself (via setbacks), we can now deal with it and get one step closer to our ultimate goals.

There is NO SUCH THING as a Millionaire that has not had dozens of setbacks.

Taking action, controlling fears and learning from setbacks are the key differences that separate the successful entrepreneurs from success dreamers.

Which are you?

Which will you be tomorrow, next week,  next month?
