Ask any successful entrepreneur what the difference is between them and the thousands of others that gave up along the way and they will tell you it is the ability to drive past obstacles, the biggest one being fear.

Building a business is a messy, messy thing.

You don’t do it unless you have a big WHY that drives you each day and you have some degree of passion for your business.

That passion may be for your market, for your product, for your role in the business, for the GAME of business itself…but there has to be a passion fueling you – it’s the only way.

If you are moving ahead FAST then fear will become a normal thing for you – the first few months can be scary as hell, but like anything else in life, the more you fight through it, the more confidence you gain and the more you are able to beat fear down.

What you will learn as well is that each time you move past fear, you learn something incredibly valuable that helps you get further along in your business.

When you start your business, people will ridicule, criticize, look down on you wondering why you are taking this “crazy” route.

When you are faced with new technical challenges that seem overwhelming, you will question your path.

Later, when you achieve your first level of success, you will experience a new set of challenges around hiring temporary and then permanent employees.

All the while you will doubt your own ability to not only be successful, but to handle the next obstacle that will come your way.

Pushing past all of that, continuing to drive forward through your fear, learning along the way and quickly pivoting to apply your knowledge while keeping a close bond with your market is the secret (if you can call it that) to success in growing a successful business.

Entrepreneurs can either be viewed as brave, desperate or downright crazy…are you ready for that journey?
