Working with some new members using InfoMarketer’sZone to blow up their businesses on the weekend and found a very common mistake that many new (and existing) entrepreneurs are making severely limiting their results and causing huge levels of frustration in their business and personal lives.

That mistake has to do with being too one-dimensional when it comes to starting and growing their business.

For example, I had one member mention to me that he was focused on blogging over the last month but was frustrated with the results he was getting.

Even though he was posting to his blog daily, his visitor count was growing, but not to the degree that he would have liked.

When we spent 30-minutes putting in place a strategy around which he could syndicate that content and promote it to get 10X the eyeballs on it, he finally understood what it meant to “hit it hard!”

Another member was just getting into placing Facebook ads, but so far had placed only one type of ad and run it several times despite the fact it was not getting her the results she was looking for.

Therein lies the challenge…putting enough balls in the air to quickly determine what will get results and what will not.

The dirty secret that all top entrepreneurs will tell you is that more than 75% of what they do ends up in failure…

In fact, when they start out, that number may be more like 95% of what they try ends up not working.

BUT…the fact that they were able to try many things resulted in one or two working and by recognizing that fact, they discovered their first pillar on their way to much higher success.

So let’s take a look at a few areas of your business where you should be hitting it harder than you are today in order to get better results in your on-line business.

TRAFFIC GENERATION

I get so many people asking what my #1 traffic generation technique is…the reality is that our traffic is huge but comes from the collective synergy of MANY techniques including:

  • Organic posts on our blogs
  • Videos on YouTube and Facebook
  • Facebook organic posts
  • Facebook participation in top Groups related to our business
  • Facebook video ads
  • Facebook boosted posts
  • Podcasts
  • Interviews with other experts
  • Affiliate partners
  • Instagram organic content (we are just starting to test Insta paid ads)
  • Snapchat
  • SEO around all of this content

In reality, not every piece of content hits (in fact not even the majority)

However, the combination of hitting all of these platforms HARD leads to far greater exposure, more notice from partners and my market and a quicker “warm-up” for my market to bring them into lists, engagements and offers.

Stop thinking about one or two or even three traffic sources and start to see yourself as using ANY available method to reach your market possible – test for a consistent 20-30 days, try different techniques, messages, approaches and then pick the ones that really stick for you.

PRODUCTS AND OFFERS

Here again, many of our InfoMarketer’sZone members have one product in mind…their ebook, course, seminar, training program, service or tangible product (affiliate or their own), placing all of their eggs in that one basket.

When you think about it for just a minute you quickly realize that maybe that’s not the smartest approach.

On any given day, week or month your market will be looking for many things and have chosen to listen and engage with you…that means you need to be brining them multiple offers each month around the area within which you operate.

That may mean creating additional products, adding consultation or teaching, pairing up with other experts to produce co-developed products or simply promoting some of your favourite products and services through affiliate offers.

Having someone who reads or watches your content take you up on a given offer has as much to do with the timing of the desire as it does with anything else.

By offering a range of products through multiple offers that are mixed with your hard-hitting content you will see your sales easily double and often go up by 3X or more.

Not only does this approach of multiple offers bring you in more revenue and profit, it also gives you greater insight into the buying habits of your market and often leads to smarter marketing into your customer base which benefits both you and your customer.

Can you think of other areas where you could be hitting it harder to get far better results in your on-line business?
