How do you get more partners and affiliate promoting your products and services? 

With over 1000 affiliates promoting our various products for us over the last few years, we have some pretty good insight into techniques that work best for finding and recruiting those affiliates…here are 3 you can implement for your business right away…

1. Being listed in the correct affiliate directories…for example, Clickbank works well for certain topics (weight loss, poersonal developmnet, and some internet marketing topics)  not so well for others we have found

2. Nothing beats proactively seeking out partners – having them review your product and offering to co-market to each other’s prospects…this is by far the best technique we have found

3. Tell everyone who buys that you have an affiliate program. We do this in a post-buy email autoresponder follow-up part of our normal post-sale campaign and we do pick up a fair number of affiliates this way too.   By the way, nothing hurts sending an update a month to your prospect list letting them know you have an affiliate program too…there are always potential affiliates lurking among your subscriber lists, you may be surprised at how many there are.

Of course, in order to offer an affiliate program for your info product, tangible product or service in the first place, you need to have an affiliate management solution so they can sign up, where you can set commissions by product, and automatically manage monthly commissions, returns, etc…
