I never much cared for the terms B to B (Business To Business) or B to C (Business To Consumer) as labels for the type of businesses we run.

Not only do many businesses cross the border making these labels useless anyway,  but even worse, these labels demonstrate a fundamental lack of understanding of how business works!

It has taken the revolution of social to really hit this reality home.

(Yes, this IS a revolution – social platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, YouTube, and the many that are following in their footsteps are the FASTEST platforms being adopted ever by both consumer and businesses)

Who uses social?

People use social!

It doesn’t matter if it’s the CEO of the largest corporations in the world, procurement people from large companies to the smallest entrepreneur who works out of his or her basement…PEOPLE use social!

So, can we agree to stop using B to B, B to C and instead use P to P?

People to People is the way business has always worked and it is the way business is working again EXCEPT technology like the internet and now social is turning the opportunity to expand your People To People marketing global.

It’s time to engage, participate, lead and learn the fundamental social networking skills of finding,  story telling and influencing your market toward you – moving from a push model to a pull model is the future of ALL marketing.

Now that’s exciting.

Have you jumped onto social yet?
